Depends, but a lot of times choosing store will add a day, closed on weekends, so Monday.
would the cc allow a friend of mine that lives in my household and has legal documents and id showing proof of that pick it up for me ??!
Guys what's the difference between picking it up at a cc or a ups store? Which one has longer lines? The ups store near me (1.5 mi) is a very small store been there before and it opens at 8. Do you think I should do that?
I feel very lucky that there's a front desk and a doorman where I live so I don't have to worry about all the rerouting stuff.
Like have people normally said that they only ask for an ID of a person that live in the same household?

If it ships to my place it says estimated by end of day on the 25th. Thing Is I'm not gonna be home until like 4 pm. Will they just send it back to the ups store and I can get it on Saturday?

Mine says the same exact thing. It just means: 1) that your window to pick up begins on the 25th and 2) If you do not pick it up before 10/01/2015, UPS will ship it back to Apple.
If you pick a UPS Store, it just means that the warehouse has to find the package, remove it from the truck that was originally going to ship to your house and put it on the truck that is going to swing by the UPS store to make deliveries and pick ups. This process usually takes an additional day(s) compared to if you were to ship to your home address–That's why it says the 28th.
Holding it at the Customer Center is usually the fastest as it doesn't get put on a truck that has to make its rounds and delivery attempts.
This is all correct. When it says "Pick up by: Oct 1" it means you have until then to pick it up. It says "Package available: Sept 25", so that means it will be there for you to pick up on Sept 25. So yes, choose the CC, not the UPS store because choosing the UPS store will add a business day to your pickup.
Make sense? As long as you choose the CC, you should be fine for pickup on the 25th. Just make sure you check the hours they are open. Mine CC here locally is open from 9am-noon and then again from 3pm-6pm. Weird, but true.
Also, I just wanted to link to the UPS website regarding Photo IDs with addresses that do not match the address on the package:

Option 3: Present a government-issued photo ID where the full address or name on the ID matches the full address or name on the package. If the last name or full address doesn't match, you will need to provide the package tracking number to the UPS Access Point representative.
Finding the tracking number for your ordered Apple products has been mentioned several times in this thread and on these forums.
You can have it held at other locations, but it will likely add a business day to your pickup date. In my experience, only the CC hub will allow you to pick it up on the date of delivery.
I kind of feel I should of just reserved this damn phone in store. At least I wouldn't have to stress about this piece of crap tracking number.
My phone showed up in my support profile over night and I'm now able to track by reference! It's in ZhengZhou and it's week 38.
I'm shipping it to my bf's place bc I won't be in town to sign for it. Does that mean I won't be able to track it under UPS MyChoice? Because you have to add an alternate address, etc.

Mine has FINALLY gotten away from Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong! And moved SO much... to Taoyuan, Taiwan! Woo Hoo! (sarcasm, of course) I would think it would move a lot today so it can be in the US tomorrow so it can do the 2 day trip to me in Oregon and arrive Thursday night.
Ordered 17 minutes after preorders went live.

That being said, the track by reference should work either way if you use your phone number and his zip code.

I think what made this wait super agonizing was the extra week. If this was one week after pre orders I would be fine but two weeks of receiving no tracking has literally made me go bonkers. I might as well have camped out if I wanted to torture myself.
My thing is this.. Apple, if you're going to give someone tracking please give us all tracking. It's not fair that some people get it and others literally have no way of tracking their phones. To me it's not about the phone it's about me paying a lot of money to a company that should at least update me where my thousand dollar phone is. ugh,

Edit: Seriously, Apple hasn't given anybody tracking. I haven't heard of anybody having their status go to Shipped. The only reason why people have any tracking right now is UPS. And there is no way in hell to time it so that all of them get handed over to UPS at the same time. Besides, I told you that the likely reason that you don't have tracking yet is that given how old your phone is, it's probably stateside already, and you may not see anything until Thursday.
Apple has not given anyone tracking.
