The issue is that in some people's experience, including mine, holding it at a store and not a Customer Center adds an extra day to the process

That usually depends on how soon before delivery you reschedule the change. If it is done 1 or sometimes 2 days before the scheduled delivery you are correct in some situations or if the AP is many miles from your original delivery location like if you live in NJ and you want it sent to a store in Ohio.

If the AP is within your standard delivery out of the same DC and/or if you schedule far enough in advance (2 days is reasonable) there is rarely ever problem. If it has to go to another DC to be delivered to you in your area that could easily add a day or even more.
 
When I choose to pick it up from the cc it says
Package available: Sept 25
Pick up by: Oct 1
This is super frustrating.. Also if I pick UPS store it says the 28th
If it ships to my place it says estimated by end of day on the 25th. Thing Is I'm not gonna be home until like 4 pm. Will they just send it back to the ups store and I can get it on Saturday?
What's wrong with pick up being availible the 25th at your CC?
 
Mine has FINALLY gotten away from Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong! And moved SO much... to Taoyuan, Taiwan! Woo Hoo! (sarcasm, of course) I would think it would move a lot today so it can be in the US tomorrow so it can do the 2 day trip to me in Oregon and arrive Thursday night.



Lol here too I got so excited when it left Hong Kong until I saw that it was to Taiwan! I am hoping today it makes it to Alaska! Or Kentucky!!!
 
Frustrating can't even get a tracking number via track by reference, tried phone number, order number, order number - last two...Already changed to PFS and added to my support profile last weekend.

Out of my 3 orders schedule to be delivered on the 25th, I was only able to track one by entering as reference my cellphone number, but the other 2 I've had no luck when entering reference, order number, etc.. and even though UPS has already given 1 order a tracking number all 3 show as preparing to ship. No coordination at all.

In group 2 mine is written 6 plus and not 6s plus, do i have to worry?
 
It is likely that everyone receiving their tracking number will have it given to them Thursday night. That being said, some people have had luck finding their tracking number by using the "track by reference" option on UPS using their 10 digit phone number or the order number minus the last two digits. I believe with the phone number you do not use country code or dashes(1231231234). I haven't had much luck with that this year yet so I will be refreshing that search until I do.
 
Found my Apple-ordered 6S Plus (Space gray, 128gb) through a reference search (phone number). It's now in Hong Kong Taiwan, with delivery on the 25th.

Still not seeing the AT&T order.
 
I ordered a case from Nordstrom last week and as soon as I received tracking I changed delivery to hold at CC for pickup. It arrived today to the CC (on time, as promised) and it is ready for me to pick up. I did this as practice so I could see what it looked like on tracking. I have already done this for both of my phones and it looks like this is the best way to go to not have a delay and be able to get the phone early without having to wait for UPS at home all day. I have attached a screenshot of what my tracking looks like now that the package is ready for me to pick up. It looks like it arrived at my hub at 2:55am. If the same thing happens with our phones, we will be able to get them when the hub opens. :)

Is picking up a package at the UPS CC really worth it? I'm new at this so I'm asking for opinions; Google reviews show horrible ratings for the CC, so I'm wondering in your experience, have you had to wait long or encountered any trouble at all?
My local hub is Mesquite, TX but I would appreciate any opinions.
 
Mine started in HK, went to Taiwan, and then went to Alaska and has arrived in Kentucky. Just for those curious...your phone that's in Taiwan will likely leave mid-day for Alaska and get to Kentucky in the middle of the night. The make the same routes daily.

how about just say "check the first page, first post of the thread"...

Just remember you may have to wait in line at the UPS office.
