I'm lurking here and on the AT&T pre-order thread but I only just ordered mine through Apple yesterday and have a ship date of 10/13-10/20.

I'm certain I wont get anything on launch day, but did anyone here order after launch last year? If so, did your delivery date move up as Apple cranked up production to meet demand?

Yes you probably will get your iPhone earlier than expected. Just few days not weeks.

I ordered an iPhone 6S Plus, I received a confirmation at 3:07AM Eastern. My order is still processing, but I am not worried. I have done this every year it has been available, including the Apple Watch and I wouldn't expect many orders to move to Preparing for Shipment until Saturday or Sunday. Just my 2 cents worth.

2 years ago I got my iPhone 3 days earlier then launch when I ordered from Apple directly. Last year with the mess up from AT&T I was 2 weeks after launch.
You never know when Apple will ship and deliver to your house.

Just checked mine. It's currently showing as preparing for shipment. I ordered about 5 mins after pre-orders started.

My pre-order just went to preparing for shipment too! Ordered about 10 minutes after pre-orders opened. I'm in the UK.

Attached a screenshot. The space is me pulling the page down to conceal my address. ;)

Just got preparing for despatch as well.....UK order on APPLE.com iPhone 6S S/Grey 128GB ;-)

So it seems like only those in the UK are seeing the "preparing for shipping" status. Anyone in the US switched to preparing for shipping?

Ordered through Apple Store app at 3:05 am (AT&T 128GB 6s+). Got an email today from AT&T about my new service (even though my service remains the same).

Status: Processing

I don't expect to see any change there until early next week.

The good news is my Apple TV Dev Kit shipped so at least I have something to track for now :p
Still processing on my phone though.

I got an idea which maybe true, our iPhones maybe already in US so will be shipped starting next week.

UK people their iPhones still in China. We will see.

Where are you located?

I pre-ordered mine within 2 mins of preorders opening on Saturday, using Apple Store app on my iPhone, using the same card that's already tied to my iTunes/Apple ID. Everything went fine, got confirmation email, and I've been checking status every day, it's always just said "Processing Items", including earlier today.

For some reason I checked it just now, and it said "Awaiting payment" and there was red writing saying they couldn't authorise my payment? I click "Pay", and it offered me "Choose a new method" or "Reauthorise same card", so I chose "Same card", and it seemed to work, and now says "Processing Items" again, and the delivery still says 25th.

I'm now worried it's going to happen again, and I miss out on 25th? Any idea what's going on?

I'm in the UK, it's a Visa Debit card, and there's DEFINITELY enough money in my account, I checked.

Something like that happened to me with apple. I ordered a watch, canceled it and ordered a different watch (changing the band) and the second would not go through. my bank blocked apple from charging me assuming fraud.

Hmm, THAT I can kinda understand, but I only placed 1 preorder. Seems to be ok bow but I'm keeping an eye on it every 10 minutes!
