Apple.com: iPhone 6s / 6s Plus Order Tracking

This extra week is a little brutal. I checked out last years thread and by the 19th there were already something like 140 pages haha. With the extra week, things are much quieter here. There's probably not going to be a lot more action until Wednesday of next week.

I hear ya. I really don't like this extra week.

But things should pick up this weekend and hopefully we will have some phones shipped earlier. (wishful thinking)

I just remember the 6 launch and how many people were upset they didn't get launch day phones. I really believe this two week period will give those that got online very early a better chance at receiving the specific configuration they want as the extra week gives manufacturers time to catch up on making these specific models.

I think that's why they did it - to find out what people were going to order, and then compare that against what they have, so they could ramp up production as needed and not be so far behind on launch. With only a week between pre-order and launch, they can really only use existing stock.

Well they actually have two weeks between preorder and launch, but you have to factor in packaging and shipping times. Also factor in the time it takes to give the factory the numbers required so they can set up production accordingly.

Probably about 3 days? This leaves around 10-11'ish days to make up ground for launch day? That's a beefy task.

Just a guess.

This year they have two weeks. In previous years it was only one. That means that they can do everything they did in previous years with a full week more of production.

They know by noon PDT on the day of the launch what the bulk of the pre-orders are going to be, and that data can be to the factories by the time China wakes up the next morning. The extra week doesn't mean they won't still have more orders than they can fill, but it gives them a much better chance at it than they had before.

CA here too, still processing.

Based on the Apple Watch preorder, CA folks were one of the last people to get their cards charged and move to "preparing for shipment" phase.

If they're shipping them out of the LA area (which they do sometimes), that might be why.

Still processing here. Ordered iPhone 6s Plus, Silver, 128GB. Got confirmation email at 3:14 AM PDT. I'm in Severn, MD

Yeah, I got both the case and dock that were shipped from Rialto, CA. They probably have a warehouse there with iPhones just waiting to be shipped :D.

Its funny that you say that because I've been following http://flightaware.com/live/iphone for about 2 days now and theres been non stop flights from Anchorage to Louisville. Im just speaking what I personally think and I know I am more than likely wrong but what if apple has been shipping phones everyday all day? New 6s' obviously.

Mine just charged! Must've been within the last half-hour or so. Ordered at about 3:10 and got confirmation at 3:16. Rose gold 128GB 6S+. Oh, and I'm in central FL.

I got the dreaded Payment problem message when I logged into check my order. Input the CC info again and it says successful. Still makes me nervous.
