Mine left at 7:15 AM yesterday. No updates since, I also live in PA and only an hour and half away from Harrisburg so I wouldn't be surprised if my CC already has it lol

Not me. Stop obsessing about this. The phones are coming from a bunch of different locations and through different carriers. Some are coming direct from China to Fedex or UPS, some are in local warehouses and won't have tracking data until Thursday night. It's not like a few million phones that will be delivered on Friday are all on a single cargo flight or in a single locations - it's got to be a huge complicated logistics task with many options.

Mine shows the exact same thing. No scans from China. I live in northern Virginia.

I think most all of us are. Have you tried tracking by reference on the UPS site? Use your phone number. And if that doesn't work, make sure that Apple has your correct phone number on file. If not, search with the incorrect phone number, and it should show up. FTR, I ordered at almost exactly the same time and via the same method as you, and mine has been PFS for days, but I've been able to track it via the above method for a few days now.

Thanks for this tip. I was able to track mine by reference! My phone arrived in Louisville, KY at 12:47AM Spet 23rd.

I called UPS to confirm the request since it automatically was accepted and got a notice it was happening and ups confirmed that it will be held :)
 
So I have been obsessing over this like many...well lets be honest all of us on here. On the Apple website my 6s 32gb Gold says that it is still preparing for shipment. I have been freaking out thinking it wasn't going to get here but i just did a reference search with my phone number on the UPS site. It looks like they are going to be shipping it to me via Next Day Air.

Ah, okay thanks! Did they verify with you that it would be available for pickup on Friday? That's my biggest concern. It said it would be, but I need to hear it from the horses mouth, lol.

ONE of mine never showed that it came from China either-wondering if it's my wife's Rose Gold one or if it's my 128GB space grey...
 
Is there a way to leave instructions for UPS? I'm not sure if anyone will be home, but they could just leave it somewhere on my porch and my neighbor could grab it.

For my iPhone 5-I got it from a non-regular guy at 9:55 am on launch day. My normal guy comes at like 7:30pm!

100% go sign up for UPS my choice and you'll get your tracking info right away once it detects your address... Mine are both "PFS" but one came from China and the other from Harrisburg Pa

The 6s/Plus is still fairly new, and it's likely your serial does not match their lookup algorithm, so it defaults to an error.

I engaged in a chat with UPS... So, I assumed he was looking up my order. Friday it's schedule to be delivered...so, that's when it will be delivered. My main concern was that my location for pick up was verified.. he verified that. You can always fire up a UPS chat... took 2 mins. But, I plan to track my package early Friday morning and hopefully it shows that it's been scanned ready to be picked up.

So does mine, but it's been in route from PA to NH for 3 days now.

Apple often requires a live signature for smaller/higher value items like the iPhone, even if you have a signature on file or leave instructions for the delivery person. That way, someone can't just follow UPS trucks around town and pick up iPhones left behind.

Might get it late on Friday... but most likely you'll get it. The way Apple is shipping off these phones... it's all random. Some flights are being shipped from China all the way to Alaska... then to Louisville. Some flights take a few trips before going to Alaska. And some are already in the U.S. So, it's really hard to pinpoint how Apple is processing these orders.
