Apple.com: iPhone 6s / 6s Plus Order Tracking

So I have been obsessing over this like many...well lets be honest all of us on here. On the Apple website my 6s 32gb Gold says that it is still preparing for shipment. I have been freaking out thinking it wasn't going to get here but i just did a reference search with my phone number on the UPS site. It looks like they are going to be shipping it to me via Next Day Air.

Mine says exactly the same thing. Not worried at all, we will probably see some movement tomorrow.

You will, mine shows the same. It's probably already in the US, they just haven't updated the order online. If you were quoted a delivery by the 25th you'll get it on the 25th (unless you live in the Popegate affected zip codes).

For anyone interested, I just picked up a 6S case from the Apple Store and it fits my current 6 nicely. Not sure about 6 cases on a 6S though.

Yep, same here. Mine was manufactured earlier in September so I assume that it's already here in the States and they're waiting until tomorrow before they move it from the warehouses. My wife's, on the other hand, was manufactured recently and just arrived in Kentucky from China which is why her's is showing so much movement.

Rest assured, folks, if your estimated ship date is 9/25 that unless the Pope himself interferes you're almost guaranteed to get it Friday.

your reference number would be your 10 digit cell phone number with no spaces (ex. 3235555555)

I have had packages that need to be signed by FedEx in order to be received at my house. I remember from fedex that i wasn't there to receive that package and they left a slip that i could sign. They came back to my house a couple hours later. Does anyone know if i miss the UPS truck if they will come back once more before returning to home base

They won't come back the same day in most cases. If you are not there to sign, they will attempt delivery the next business day.

Did anyone else see their orders go from "Preparing for Shipment" to "Preparing for dispatch" back to "Preparing for Shipment"?

Yesterday afternoon for about 3-4 hours both of my orders went to Preparing for Dispatch. Then I checked in the evening and they are back to preparing for shipment

I'm still preparing for shipment even though I have UPS tracking on both of the phones I ordered. I haven't seen anyone in this thread post any different.

I was told by UPS that you'll get the request when it gets scanned for availability. Also make sure to monitor the tracking to see the progress... but my CC request was verified for it's location, but it won't be approved until it's officially available.

Did you get the Northside address for your pickup? Mine shows the Independence Parkway address.

Apple deliberately does not give us the tracking number to stop us from hammering the UPS tracking system. Even though it says "Preparing for Shipment" UPS already has it. You can track by reference using the phone number that Apple knows you by.

That's the same status. You must have been logged in on Apple UK. The US site uses Shipping and the UK site uses Dispatch.

All should be in PFS.

Probably an early morning email like last year will be the official delivery status.

Did you get the Northside address for your pickup? Mine shows the Independence Parkway address.

My phone is going to Independence Parkway. Last you I went to Northside so I was a bit confused at first. Found a Star-Telegram article about UPS opening a new CC to serve N. Tarrant and S. Denton counties.

How can they determine that? I was just told by UPS that it will be sent to the Northside address... not sure if that's where it will show up there first when leaving Louisville or that it will go to the Independence Parkway address then go to Northside address.

Is there a way to leave instructions for UPS? I'm not sure if anyone will be home, but they could just leave it somewhere on my porch and my neighbor could grab it.

Sign up for UPS choice or on the apple order status there should be a "presign" option where you can print out/sign and tape to the door your authorization to leave it

Finally, an answer! This is the key - the billing phone number. I was using my mobile #. I do feel left out that I wasn't able to follow on the planes and such before now, and that my Apple order page still says "Preparing for shipment." First world problems.

I've got the same thing. If you go to UPS.com and put your BILLING phone number in "Shipment reference", it should find it for you.
