Apple.com: iPhone 6s / 6s Plus Order Tracking

Nothing will be different. Get the iPhone and pop in the sim. Done. Im not falling for that whole come into the store to activate your phone. AT&T just wants to keep tabs on everything you do. I also work for AT&T.

That makes it even more interesting for those that reserved one at the Apple Store.. would they then have to traipse over to an ATT store to activate it? According to Apple's email, the reserved phones would be activated in the store.

Wait. So if I bought an unlocked phone, I can't just take my AT&T SIM out of my previous iPhone, put it in the new one and start it up?

So will the iPhone come with an AT&T sim card? I currently have a G3 and the sim card is the bigger one

Same here to Portland, OR. No movement since they arrived in KY at 12:47am
 
Still in KY here as well. Anxiety is annoying as I'm stuck with an "android" till the new one arrives. </shudder>
Sold my 6 to buy the 6s before the announcement as we all knew it was coming.

I doubt the AT&T version of the iPhone will come with a sim included. You can either get a quality sim cutter or just stop by a AT&T store and pick up a new sim.

Hmmmm actually you are right, I do remember last year when I received my AT&T 6 it had a sim card in there. I keep getting it confused when I purchase the unlocked versions of the iPhone.

I just got off chat with ATT.
They also confirmed that I would have to get a new SIM from the store(which is free).
Put this new SIM on iphone 6s and call six-one-one or go online to activate it.
And since mine is a phone which was paid full price, looks like i would have to also provide IMEI number to ATT.

The above case is valid only for when we buy iphone by paying full price.
I am not sure if the above has to be done when you buy phone in contract.

Update on my wife's 6s order... I am still seeing "Preparing for Shipment". Looks like it hasn't been shipped yet....

You can print out a pre signed authorization slip that the carrier can collect and they would leave it at your door. Just print it out from the order summary page and tape it to your door on 9/25 if you want it to be left.

He ordered from AT&T, not Apple. At&T does not require a signature.

There might be an afternoon flight between the two cities. There has been days where there are two flights a day. I can't find if there is one or not on flightaware, though.

It lifted off at 1:03pm PDT and is scheduled to land at 5:15 pm PDT. Woo Hoo! Maybe tonight I will be able to see my serial number in my Apple Support Profile!
