I just checked my recent UPS history and the latest I had anything marked as out for delivery was 8:59 am. YMMV, of course. I'd imagine with as much volume as they're handling today, they might have more times. I could be wrong, though.
 
My UPS tracking info shows that my iPhone is on the truck and out for delivery by the end of the day. In the past, UPS has delivered my iPhones around 10AM so I hope this year will be the same.
 
I have one that is in my city now...

One that is on a flight still into my country.

Not feeling good about the second one but both still say delivered by today and both still say on time.

My UPS guy usually gets here 1030-1100; I wonder how late they'll be today? I think last year they were running behind 2-3 hrs.

It depends on when it is loaded and scanned onto the delivery vehicle. It could be early AM like the 5:30 mentioned above, or, depending on volume etc. I've seen packages marked OFD as late as early afternoon and still deliver by the end of the day.

I got the dreaded mis-sort delay! I have a family member who is a sorter for UPS too (at a different hub though)! Even though I'm in Ohio, my phone went to New Hampshire.

No, if you authorized them to leave it at the door, you should be okay. You accepted delivery already if you filled it out properly.

I live in the city. A fairly large one and I won't get mine til around that time. Now I get to look outside all day when I hear anything that sounds like a ups truck.....

Thanks! It's 7:51 AM here so hopefully within the next hour it'll update.
 
Mine is out for delivery as of 6:50 am. I hope that UPS gets back to its normally-prompt delivery schedule...for the 4S, 5, and 5S, I had them all in hand by 10 am at the latest. For the 6+, it was 4 pm. o_O
