People fail to realize that Apple is sending out more phones than UPS can handle at once. They're only humans with a limited amount of time at their disposal to deliver. They try to get out as many as they can but they can't get all of them in one day. And I speak as fellow delivery driver, no not UPS, from experience in saying when more delivery requests come in than all available staffed drivers can handle, delays will crop up.

Gosh, I wish my company got a pass like this when we fail to meet our one and only obligation to the business world.

And what is that obligation? You can't expect any company to meet its obligation if it gets overwhelmed. Every company has those moments. We had it yesterday. I deliver chinese food as my college and we had a 30 order backlog. All we can do is try to get it done fast but cooking the food faster isn't an option, since we make our food fresh unlike most chinese places. Business can get abnormally high, and it just causes delays. You can't just hire more people because what will they do when business is normal? Nothing, and the company loses money. It doesn't take a business major to understand this.

I got mine from UPS Access point. Have a question, anyone knows about t-mobile devices' unlocked-or-not situation? Anyone tried to use it with a sim card on another carrier?

I received an IPhone 6s yesterday via the pre-order and would I unboxed the phone it had a T-Mobile Sim in it, I replaced it with my AT&T sim card without any issues.
 
I think I found his FB page to let him know it was delivered here in error with my phones. Apple told me not too. He can clearly see my name and city. I'm not comfortable with that. UPS is sending for pickup Mon. I don't want his iPhone here that long. Should I take it to the UPS store tomorrow instead?

When I called Apple they said he had called them 3x already.

So what did you do? You could ask him for his tracking number and see if it matches the one on the box. Your post is interesting having me asking myself what I would do.

I didn't FB him because Apple told be not too. Maybe a privacy thing on my end? UPS said they were going to have a driver pick it up Mon. I have to work on Mon so this is not good. Now I have to take the day off. I have a UPS store near me so why couldn't I take it there? Couldn't they track it in? I was on the phone practically all night being put on hold. That guy must be flipping out since it says delivered.
 
Has anyone experienced a Saturday delivery today? Verizon put the wrong zip code on my order (Verizon supplies the delivery address) and I spent most of yesterday afternoon getting the right zip on the package and on my Apple order. I didn't realize the zip was wrong - but there it was all along. Who looks at the zip?? Now I have confirmation the address was updated but "no information on delivery". Allegedly the local hub is closed Saturday and a recording from UPS said delivery Monday.

Wait UPS misdelivered an iPhone to you, and now you have to conform to their policy of handing it back. Hell no. This is UPSs problem which also became your problem. I would tell them, either I get to drop it off, or I keep it.

I think you should just take it to the nearest UPS store and explain to the person there what happened ... then leave it with them to sort out. Get a receipt that you left it there, though.

Delivery carriers always look at the zip, it determines what hub to send the package too, and gives the prices estimate of shipping.
 
I'm just wondering if I should stay home today. Stayed home all day yesterday and need to get some things done but I don't want to miss delivery if there's a chance it's today. I wonder if the tracking page will be updated since it's Saturday.

Tracking always updates, so saturday is unlikely if it hasn't switched out for delivery.

I think it said "out for delivery" yesterday at about 9:20 a.m. (nearly that now). Then around 1 pm it was changed to address not found. Took another 6 hours to get confirmation that the address was changed even though I did it as soon as I saw the message.
 
I chose to leave the phone at the UPS CC. Got an e-mail saying that it would be ready at 8:00AM. Got there at 8:30 and the guy just laughed, saying that won't have them there by 1PM at the earliest. So anyway that was annoying. Came back at the last moment and got it at 7:15 when they closed at 7:30. Nearly missed it, but it's all good now I guess. It's a beautiful phone. Have had a black iPhone 4 and 5 and looking forward to having the Silver 128GB now.

Forgot to post yesterday but received my phone about 4pm. The UPS guy told me he was going to have to work late cause he had more than 50 iphones for delivery yesterday.

That's UPSs problem then. They shouldn't have goofed to begin with. We all make mistakes and we have to bear the consequences of it.

I went down there to UPS store he said I can't leave it. It needs to be picked up by the driver from where it was delivered. Supervisor at the hub said they were going to try to send a driver out today to pickup. but I need to leave to my Nieces birthday party and I work Mon thru Friday. If I deliver it to that person myself then it will show delivered to me and he can call Apple and say he never got it and then have two phones while apple comes after me.

Help what should I do? I've been on the phone freaking out over this.
 
To deliver packages scheduled to be delivered. I thought that much was obvious.
Although I have to eat crow today and thank UPS for delivering on Saturday, which I was not expecting.

If there are good reasons for delays I am more than willing to forgive. This certainly qualifies. It's not the drivers' fault that they're given more than they can handle.

So what Should I do? I need to leave in an hour? I offered to take to the police station but UPS said no. It couldn't be tracked that way.
