Went to pick up the base model one in citrus today. Love the color, and honestly for my use cases I think I could very much make this thing work. The only other Mac I have to compare this to is the M1 Pro MBP I have and yes I can see some differences (mostly the display, I wish the Neo went a touch brighter) but otherwise this is a great littler machine.

I'll need to give it a two week test really to see how I really like it though.

oh boy. That stinks! Mine is still transferring data, but hopefully that's a one off & not a widespread issue.
Thx. I am happy to be able to report that the issue is resolved. It was an error on my part, its now working fine

while "my" UPS delivery vehicle is in the vicinity, seems that they are delivering to all the various businesses first, just have to be patient 😉

Just returned from Apple Store pickup.
Small lines but not as bad as the iPhone launches.

Super duper fast machine!

Migration transfer from 15" MBA via USB-C in less than 15 minutes!

Neo is a beaut.

Naturally ups attempted delivery 5 min before I got home from a doctors appointment appointment. So my neo will bounce around for another day before I get it , why will Amazon leave these things and Apple wont
Yep, mine went the same way. I gave up and returned mine as i had no idea I needed a signature. I’m a caregiver and would miss again and again.

Oh well.

Ps. I wish I knew ahead of time about the signature thing and I would have gone to the store.

It is here, sitting on my messy desk, live the color, setting up as new but initial thought on the trackpad is it's quite similar to my trackpad so good.
Have to convert the photos first, so post pics later

For future reference, any Apple product delivered by UPS will require a signature even if it's not clearly stated. I found that out the hard way with the iPhone 17 launch. When I finally tracked down the UPS driver and asked, he told me that it's an unwritten rule that they receive signatures for anything Apple.

Oddly enough they dumped mine in an amazon locker, no signature required.

I want to know if the MacBook Neo is similar to a Chromebook. I might get one for myself since it's my first time owning a MacBook.

Um - no - Chromebooks are inherently slow due to their Intel or MediaTek chipsets with 4GB of RAM and very limited storage.

Neo is more akin to a budget Macbook Air - very snappy and very quick for 8GB RAM.

I bought 2 Neos - both are travel Macbooks due to their low cost and no work on the devices!

Holding mine in my hands. Looks great, great keyboard, everything looks awesome. It's also pretty snappy.

Unfortunately, bluetooth seems dead. Anyone experienced the same?

Edit: never mind. The issue is resolved - and it's been all my fault.
What did you do. I can't seem to connect my Xbox Controller

Edit: Had to pull the batteries on the controller and all worked well.

I just saw that I had over $300 dollars in American Express rewards points I could use on Amazon. After seeing several different reviews in different lighting, the blush doesn't really look as a pink as I initially thought. Actually, I think it looks pretty good. I ordered the 512 for delivery Friday. Apple was showing 3/26-4-2 for blush delivery. BestBuy was 3/20. If I decide it looks too pink in person, I have someone lined up that will buy in a heartbeat. I think the pink is subtle and from what I can see, looks much better than the rose gold 12" MB I had until recently. Citrus tomorrow and Blush (bought for $430) Friday.

Received it earlier today via UPS from Vietnam. Feels like a tank overall. Trackpad feel is different, I like it either way.

This will fit nicely in my 13" Tom Bihn Ristretto bag that I've had for many years.
