Glad you resolved your issues. I used a Magic Mouse I previously used with a different Mac. I disconnected this mouse but overlooked to also make the Mac forget this mouse. Hence it was still tied to this Mac, and therefore did not show up when I queried for blutooth devices

Sounds like the Midnight color of the MBA and MBP. Glad I chose not to get the Indigo because that may have been the case.
I got the Indigo and Citrus.
My wife hates the Citrus -said it looked like neon green/yellow sports drink.
Indigo is the color I like - it has a chameleon look to it depending on the ambient light.
Compared to my midnight 15" M2 MBA:
Citrus and Indigo next to my 12" rMB:
Notice the color of the Indigo top = fluorescent indoor lighting.
Bottom Indigo = natural sunlight inside home.

Your better half surprised me with her rejection. Try not to take it personal. 😛 I can definitely tell the color change with the Indigo. Who knows, I may have the same reaction as your wife.
Now my wife wants the Blush Neo.
I told her that it's the first color that sold out yesterday.
In the meantime, the Citrus is going back.....

Still on the fence about citrus or silver, picked up citrus and it's a fun color after years of "plain" silver.
Have 14 days to decide and yes Apple promotes the return policy for exactly that reason. Quite a few others around me at the Apple Store were unsure too. Employees were reminding people as long as no damage can swap colors.

I like the Citrus. It reminds me of the the color the white part of a tennis shoe turns when you use it to mow the lawn. 😀
Here is a side by side with an M3 MacBook Air (13.6") for color and size comparison.
I've been going back and forth and comparing viewport and trackpad and performance. There is no noticeable difference between these too for practical use.
While I am a computer professional, retired programer, who NEVER used a maxed out machine, one should really give this a hands on before judging the specs. It doesn't feel lacking in any regard.
Here is a side by side with an M3 MacBook Air (13.6") for color and size comparison.
I've been going back and forth and comparing viewport and trackpad and performance. There is no noticeable difference between these too for practical use.

It's nothing like a Chromebook at all. It's truly an amazing little machine and it's even more solid in the hand than the MBA and MBP.

I originally ordered Blush for a date of March 25+, but decided I didn't love the color, so I canceled it and reordered the Midnight instead. That one says Mar 13-17, and it went to Preparing to Ship yesterday. Nothing in UPS MyChoice yet, hoping to get tracking today. Are these originating stateside for the most part?
Seems like it for me. When the tracking # finally showed up, it was in Pennsylvania.

Well, after some hands on with the Neo, I will say that I really really like it. It’s so smooth and just works. I’m glad I held out and didn’t get an iPad Pro. This is definitely the better upgrade. Been learning to navigate macOS and it hasn’t been bad at all. I still haven’t discovered all the Neo can do. But that’s all part of the process.

Received my classic silver Neo yesterday. Looks and feels like a premium device. This will serve as my travel MacBook so I won't have to lug my 16" M3 Pro MBP around.

That is a very clean (read: classic looking) Mac. I am kind of surprised you don't use Dark Mode. Is it because you think the normal white blends better with the silver?
Thank you. I have the appearance settings on Auto so it switches to Dark at night. 🙂

It’s Mac OS. Same with tap to click. People somehow think these would be missing.
Mine’s been out for delivery since 7:30am I should have it by 2!!

Before release people were wondering if it would be locked down to the Mac App Store. It’s like the low price got many people’s wires crossed or something.
