Today, it slipped to 10/9-13, but a few hours later, my credit card was charged, and it switched over to "Preparing For Shipment".
When I ordered mine on the 15th I considered setting a reservation for pickup but figured there was no way they would allocate stock for that but not send me one if they truly were available. I'm curious to see how pick-ups go at the store tomorrow. I've done the line up last year. Even though it was fun, but not doing that again. Not a fan of standing up for a long period of time just for a phone. I know I have mine reserved for tomorrow, but I'm going to pass it up because it's the T-mobile mode. Same story here.... I see two possibilitiesI hope its not true about them trying to lock us in the night before launch.
Today I noticed my order (supposedly due by 10-5 - 10/9) now says "Not eligible to cancel or return" and big blue cancel button is gone. So frustrating--it was like this during preorder night when I tried to cancel and order any of the other models that were shipping 09/25.
Do you think they really won't let us cancel the old order and purchase in store?
Tried doing it is an upgrade , i won't be able to get hold of a 6S plus in rose gold until next saturday which is still miles better and earlier than Apples scheduled delivery. Just need to decide whats best.. Id like to think that delivery will speed up after the weekend but who knows.Same story here.... I see two possibilities
1. They are kicking us in before launch to prevent people from snagging inventory in stores and cancelling online orders
2. Our phones will ship out over the weekend and we will have them Tuesday-Wednesday.
Either way I think you can cancel once you get it but not before then, I don't think the Apple Store people have more access than we do. I have several other upgrades in my line so I can still technically go in and get a phone today ( on the off chance that one is available)
Can they sell you a display model lol? Just an ideaWell that didn't work.... They were pretty empty with no line and plenty of 6s stock..... BUT they are not getting the plus in for awhile.... So sans the display model they had zero stock
