Just got off the phone with apple.... The guy I talked to said that orders should only display Preparing for Shipment for a maximum of 3 days. So due to what he said if your order has been saying that for the past two days, expect it to change tomorrow. :p

I ordered two 64GB iPhones, a black and a white to be delivered 9/21. One of them has now departed Anchorage (this came via Incheon) while the other (came from Hong Kong) is spending some time in Anchorage.

Hoping to get them both together on 21st!
 
Has anyone actually received an email from Apple saying "Your iPhone 5 has shipped, here is the tracking number"?
 
anyone think it's worth paying that $40 for "premium UPS my choice" & being able to select the 2 hour guaranteed window your package is delivered? for me, i won't be home after 2pm on friday, so if i want to guarantee myself to get it at a certain time, wouldn't that be worth it? and then just cancel the membership next week or something so it doesn't renew lol...thoughts?

I would just presign for it. As long as you don't live in a sketchy neighborhood I wouldn't worry about it getting stolen.

FYI I'm "premium" My Choice -- and the 2-hour Confirmed Delivery option is NOT available. Maybe that's because my package (at least now) is scheduled for delivery by 10:30AM. If it were "end of day", maybe the option would be available. But at least now for me, it isn't.

I don't think so. Maybe they'll do that only the day before, so they don't get inundated by queries asking if the phone will be delivered early?

Location (is it on a plane? Was it shipped from China or waiting to be shipped? Is it stuck in a warehouse? etc)


Info about the phone itself; manufacturing date, location, who it was made by, what time they made it, what that person ate for lunch, how many other products that person made before mine, how many they made after mine, you know, all the good stuff :D lol

I just asked this of a different UPS person and they confirmed that 10:30 is the correct time.
 
DOES ANYONE have theres still saying processing after ordering around say 3:31 Eastern and then changed there addressed the next day yet mine still shows 9/21 delivery.

Also does anyone have holiday shipping and have theirs shipped?

Yea, I ordered two iPhones around 2:30C. The 16GB Black ATT has Holiday Shipping and my 32GB Black ATT has Standard with a changed address. Both are preparing for shipment since Saturday.
 
64GB Black ordered on Apple at 2:15 a.m. I'm looking forward to seeing the UPS man on Friday!

After doing some digging. It appears that all the phones that have been shipped with UPS worldwide express will ALL deliver by 10:30 AM :) :apple:

Basically, each delivery area has different "guaranteed by" times, and it changes with service. There is a whole UPS guide that lists each zipcode and its delivery "area/expectations" based on its distance from the local hub, etc.

So for example, if you are further away from the hub and you are getting an overnight delivery, your delivery time may be 3:00 or end of day. If you live downtown or closer (where overnight packages can be delivered faster and are likely more important) then the guaranteed by time may be sooner, as UPS can have a decently reasonable amount of time to get the package to your door.

SO when you are logged out, it may be showing the latest time for the Worldwide Express service. Once you logged in, however, it was able to recognize your location and update it. Sometimes international packages are weird, the delivery time guarantees and other things (weight) will change once it is processed through Customs and gets treated as a "domestic" package at WorldShip (same for Fedex in Memphis).

I have gone through this too many times to know it... lololol.

Or as was mention earlier Addison is a consolidation point, yeah that's the ticket. The original order numbers won't show up on the tracking reference. I'm going to stick with that story for awhile....

Did you drop the last 2 digits from your order number?
 
whats the difference between holiday shipping and standard shipping, does anybody know?

Apple is running a three day shipping promotion for the holidays and has started using that name for shipments that need expedited. Standard is 5 Day, "Holiday" is 3 days.

haha, i just literally did the same thing, i logged in with safari and then went to chrome w/o logging in and i got the same thing as you. sooo yeah, idk which to go off of. obviously fingers crossed for 1030am!! :)

I get the same thing. Why do we do this to ourselves??? I'm hanging my hat on 10:30am.
