Very cool! I've probably passed by him in OKC as I've been there a few times doing Evals as a manager from the field.
I think this is probably just a rumor. I believe that the chipsets are the same in all phones. The European phones and the Verizon phones are actually the same model (identical hardware), but with different software to enable the different supported modes / frequencies. The AT&T phones are almost the same, but have a slightly different antennae configuration to support the different LTE frequencies AT&T (and most of Canada) uses.
My guess is that the batches of phones are sitting in different places, and that Apple is going through the AT&T model first, and that the Verizon models will soon follow. Apple knows what it is doing, so I'm sure that they will all arrive on time.
I would love to know why some people are showing delivery before 10:30, but mine is still showing 10:45-2:45? Hopefully it doesn't sound like I am whining but normal UPS delivery time in my area is around 1:00 or so but on a day like Friday, I am fearing that it won't be here until after 3. My phone hasn't gotten to Louisville yet, so is there a chance that my time could be earlier like (what seems like) everyone else's by 10:30?
Mines in Anchorage too, since 3:06. It's a 16GB VZW Black coming to Pompano Beach, FL
Mine left Nashville and is now in transit in Kentucky. I'm just waiting for them to fly it to Ontario, California. That should be the last stop before it gets delivered. Ontario is only 20-25 minutes from my house.

world ease is by 1030am. mine shows EOD as well. but i confirmed by 1030 with 2 different reps.
Am I the only one that is checking my shipping and flight status like every 30 min? I feel like there is something wrong with me, but I just cant help it. LOL
Still with the group in Anchorage. It seems like all phone that arrived at 3:06PM are still there. Hopefully they'll be going out on a flight later tonight, or sometime early tomorrow. Glad to know I am not alone!

I don't think you need to cancel. Apple's return policy is pretty generous, and you should be able to return an un-opened iPhone for a full refund if you end up with two of them.
Confirmation emails for all 3 of the phones I ordered were at 2:16AM CST, 16 minutes after the store went live, Status is still preparing for shipment.
Our 4S's status took longer than most others to update as well but still arrived before noon on launch day.
One would probably have to wait in line and return for a refund and buy the opposite color instead of just swapping them?

And meanwhile, the UPS CS reps are calling their FedEx counterparts and apologizing for not believing the rabid Apple Fan response to the 4S shipping last year
seriously thinking about it. I will decide on Wednesday to see what happens, that should give me plenty of time to cancel my order and have my contract update reversed back to AT&T
The problem with that is if you purchased a subsidized iPhone through Apple. If that is the case and you dont cancel your order, you will no longer be eligible for the upgrade.

I just hate that I completed my order at 4:30 on the 14th am and my iPhone is coming the same day as someone who ordered yesterday.
I keep refreshing my order page to see if there will be some change in delivery date.
What is World Ease? Are all phones using that? Does that mean all phones should be delivered by 10:30?
Just got off the phone with UPS. Because my shipment started in Nashville, I can't get whatever the World Ease is, which means most likely waiting until 3:00. I'm not happy right now.
