Resting in Louisville

My i5 64GB Black ATT is resting in Louisville, KY awaiting its trip over the Appalachian Mountains to Virginia. Do we absolutely have to sign at time of delivery for these shipments? I need to talk with my UPS guy today. I'm running a 5k rack Friday afternoon for a school fundraiser, so I might be running after the truck! I sure am glad I'm not dealing with the lines at the Apple / AT&T Stores on Friday, what a debacle that is going to be. http://cdn.macrumors.com/vb/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Interesting I had 2 seperate orders (ordered via app) based on the same primary number and only one order showed up when I used the number as reference till now. One is in Louisville and the other just left Nashville.

Both phones are 16G ATT Black and White. Apple uses Ingram Logistic for fulfillment and the company has a huge distribution center in Nashville area but not sure why the phones are being shipped to KY.

They used Ingram warehouses for storage. The phones with tracking numbers have or are about to leave the warehouse and be on their way to UPS distribution centers, the main one being in Louisville.

Next Day Air Saver usually means next day...

So if Apple is using UPS Next Day Air Saver, and my past experience shipping with UPS, sounds to me like UPS is distributing the shipments to all of the appropriate hubs, then releasing them into the wild on Wednesday/Thursday.

The Next Day Air saver is used when something needs to be over-nighted, but doesn't need to be there first thing in the AM, normally the "saver" shipments arrive later in the day, however it is still the next day.

Confused on there tactics.

Is anyone else getting "We're Sorry. Something went wrong with your request. Please try again later." when going to the specific order page on Apple.com?

Been happening since launch day... It's the morning, you know everyone is jumping online to check status.

Did you pay the $40 for premium membership or is that the free account?

Is it normal to be able to select delivery windows and all that jazz? That just came up after I refreshed the window. I'm too nervous to touch it for fear something else will happen

EDIT - Nevermind! Just scrolled back a bit. All is well =)

I am in the same boat as a few others here. I also ordered 2 phones. One black 16GB and one white 16GB. Both within 15-20 minutes of pre-order starting. Both using the same apple account and both using the same credit card.

Both orders show delivery on 9/21. Both credit card charges are pending. I can track only one package via reference # on UPS (phone number). Not the slightest clue about the other. I also have one phone show on my apple support profile, which is the white phone I ordered seconds before the black phone. The black phone is mine, the white my wife's.

I am only worried because I am reading waaaaayyyy too much into things. I am sure things will work out just as they should.

:D:p

Nice job guys and dolls, we are closing in on the UK iPhone thread, now only 500 post behind. They had a head start because, I think, of the time zone difference :)

My verizon 64gb black just updated!!!

Has anyone ever had the tacking info say by 10:30am and have it actually come by 10:30am?

I know when I have sent items and selected early morning delivery for work, they have arrived before 10:30, but I would assume it will change to reflect the same as everyone elses.

Most people won't until tomorrow, or Thursday. :p THEN THAT FINAL DAY BEGINS. THEY DAY OF HELL.. Then once we get our phone, THAT DAY OF HELL BEGINS, trying to activate it. :p

Trying to activate.... oh fun. Lucky for me, mine arrives to my parents house while I am at work, when I pick it up, I will open it there, but probably not try and activate it until I get home so I can put all my music and stuff on it.

Well I talked to UPS about the My Choice thing and they won't redirect the shipping to another address cause apple restricted it.

"Alejandra Z.: I was checking the information and yes, you may register on UPS My Choice but unfortunately, the option to deliver to a different address is not available.
Alejandra Z.: Since the shipper restricted the option to do so."

So I guess I'll have to hope that I get home in time to receive it on friday. If this has already been answered then sorry lol.

So this morning I was in bed and grabbed my 4S to check the Apple Support page... VICTORY!

Sorry for everyone, but us 32gb'ers for Verizon were pent up. Tracking on UPS now too.

But I don't have time specific time frame like others seem to do.
