They won't bill you until the phone is shipped, which going off previous releases could be as early as Sunday. Once your order changes to "processing" you should be able to edit the billing information. As for my orders. I got the confirmation for my girlfriend's iPhone at 3:24am est. and hers is now processing. I got the confirmation for mine at 3:30am est. and it is still in the "received order" phase. mine says del Oct 5, my card has been charged since the 14th
 
On the Marketplace Morning Report this morning they reported that Fedex expected huge traffic increases from the iPhone 5.

Not so though if UPS gets all the orders...

Are you sure UPS won't just leave a ticket like they usually do? That way you can call them up when you get home and pick it up at the warehouse that night or Saturday morning. I'm guessing that Apple restricted re-delivery to reduce the likelihood of fraudulent misdirecting of packages.
 
Local UPS Guys - Aware of Friday

I talked with my local UPS delivery guy and they are very aware of the iPhone deliveries on Friday. He said he may be running late, things are expected to be crazy Friday for them. If you have "by end of the day" shipping status, prepare to hang out until.....
 
Does anyone else have this in their tracking info?

"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

Just curious to what it means. I been sitting on it since yesterday morning.
 
my Apple status is still in Preparing for Shipment. i found a UPS tracking no by ref. says Friday eod. also has weight at .70 lbs.

one question: can i use the 10w power adapter from the new iPad to charge the iPhone 5? or is that too much power? the iPhone/iPod power adapter is 5w. thanks for any info.

edit: how's come some tracking info started in China (like my iPad did in March) and now, many are starting in Nashville, Louisville, etc.?

Question regarding anyone who has been in the 14-21 day shipment range with ATT in past iPhone releases. Does it actually take 14-21 days or is there a possibility that we will get it before that timeframe?

My bad.

I should have mentioned that my home phone is the phone associated with my Apple account. I had been trying it (along with the first 8 characters of my order, my email, mother's maiden name and just about any other sliver of datum I could muster) to no avail. And then this morning success.

The phones are having a pep rally being inspired by the fearless leader and listening to some live bands. Then perhaps some tailgating in the parking lot before loading up.... with my luck, my phone will be sleeping in the corner and miss his flight.
 
Should I be getting worried if I can't track by ref no.? Still says Preparing for Shipment, Delivers by the 21st on Apple's site.
 
As soon as I saw the plane my phone touched down in Kentucky, I checked my ups app and saw it changed from end of day to this,which is close to the end of day in my neighborhood for ups but now it shows an actual time window which is nice. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1347979565.337149.jpg

I guess we will see, If I don't make it home in time i'll be going to ups to pick it up either way lol. But before the initial delivery attempt it looks like they won't allow the address redirection from My Choice.

That would be great for me, I'll be home around 5:15 give or take so if he is late and comes after that time I would be happy and would save me a trip to ups on friday night.

Pretty much means what it says. A label has been created, but UPS doesn't have your iPhone yet.
 
I hope I don't sound like an idiot, but my package is 2 pounds and I only ordered 1 phone? Do you think the weight is just a mistake or there was a mix up with my package? I'm a bit nervous and confused.
