Looks like my phone doesn't like to move around since 48 hrs now.. Still seating at Addison, IL. must be nice weather...
UPS uses a computer algorithm to optimize its deliveries and reduce cost, so does FEDEX. They found its more efficient to do it this way. Believe me that they have every penny accounted for. One reason other shippers are out of the business, anyone recall Airborne... .
I'm getting gradually more concerned. Nothing on my credit card yet, order is still "processing items," nothing on my support profile, and I can't find anything by reference number on UPS.

Mine departed at 12:58AM this morning to Louisville. Hopefully it gets itself on one of the UPS flights to Oakland or the lone flight to San Jose soon.
I ordered mine at 2:05am centtral time from apple.com and it still says preparing for shipment with delivery on 9/21 it's Tuesday should I be worried?

You iPhone is most likely going to be merged into one package here if you ordered multiple iPhones. From here it will go to UPS Worldport in Louisville, KY. From there it will go to your states and eventually to you buy 9/21.
YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR IPHONE EARLIER THAN 9/21. UPS has an agreement with Apple to not deliver any iPhone packages before 9/21.
Some of you were complaining because in the past your iPhone tracking said that it would deliver before 3 PM but all time constraints have been removed you will get your iPhone on 9/21 before the day ends. UPS has more than one million Apple iPhones just be patient.
If you Apple confirmation page says it will deliver on 9/21 but you can't track it don't will IT WILL come on 9/21.
There is no point in sitting in front of the screen all day just check your tracking number every night and you will have the phone by 9/21 as long as your Apple confirmation page says so.

You won't see anything except perhaps a pending charge until its in the preparing for shipment state and you get a serial number assigned. If your order confirmation said delivery on 21 Sept, try not to worry. There are many reports here that during the last iPhone roll out, orders were in the processing state the night before and they still got their phone. There could be some issue with Verizon authorizing the upgrade, but the 32GB Verizon model seems to be the last one in line being processed.
I ordered 3:05 AM ET on September 14 from Apple.com, Sprint iPhone 5 32 GB. It still says Preparing for shipment.
When hit view/ edit order details on left hand side, it says shipping method, Holiday Shipping.

No you won't. All iPhones can't deliver before 9/21 all Apple stores open up at 8 AM local time everywhere.

It just means your package will arrive on the assigned date which is 9/21. Don't worry you WILL have it by 9/21.

The scan times are local times in each location. Alaska and Louisville have different time zones.

Ummm... 8:00AM in let's say, London is 3:00AM on the East Coast of the US.
So, technically they will get it before.
It may have been left on the plane (hiding in the rest room perhaps) and returned to Anchorage. I don't think its trying to escape, but some of these phones are clever.
