No mention of Louisville yet. Apple store still shows Preparing for Shipment

If you're tracking through UPS, have it send you text/email updates. I enabled it yesterday and the first text I received showed the package's destination... mine happened to be going from Nashville to Louisville.

Before that, there was no mention of Louisville for me either, but within the last 30 minutes it updated and has arrived in Louisville.

If the order status page (and UPS) says your phone will be delivered on 9/21, it will be delivered on 9/21.

All this flight-tracking business is frivolous.

I think sometimes frivolous but fun. Something like sitting in a coffee shop shooting the breeze. I've learned quite a bit about UPS and flight tracking software, perhaps frivolous knowledge. But I'm a kinda pack rat for knowledge. My state of mind is probably a dead giveaway...

As for shipping they have barley begun to ship internationally.

Actually this isnt entirely true. In Australia, the large majority of Apple's Online Store orders (Apple in Australia ONLY sells unlocked, outright iPhones) have all been shipped in bulk directly to Apple's logistics partner in Sydney, which in Australia is DB Schenker.

An image has surfaced on one of the Aussie message boards of hundreds of them being sorted (brown boxes for shipping unfortunately). From there they will leave with TNT, according to an employee starting Wednesday afternoon (ie. twelve plus hours from now) depending on customer location.

From another thread...

By the way, as others have discovered this morning, both my pending charges have disappeared from my credit card status, only the Applecare remains, which got converted from pending to an actual charge sometime yesterday.

Great thread ,vote for iphone5 http://www.arstechnica.com/apple/2012/09/poll-technica-are-you-buying-an-iphone-5-and-why/

The track by reference number isn't working for me this morning. It worked all day yesterday though. I did copy my tracking numbers though... and tracking by tracking number is still working. Touchdown in KY.

I just checked and have my SN as well. My order was in shortly after 0200 central time. AT&T 32GB black.

----------

Mine still shows as preparing to ship on apple.com. I bought mine at 330am est on the apple store app. Wonder what the hold up is with mine

Try using your phone number on UPS under reference. That's how I got mine to work.

finally! My shipment showed up on UPS using track by reference and I got my serial # on the support page as well!

Got to Louisville, KY this morning at 9:00AM

UPS Status Updated

My UPS Shipping status for Virginia just updated to before 10:30am Friday! Hopefully I can beat the activation rush that afternoon when all the west coasters start going live. Yes Yes Yes!

Your forgetting about everyone downloading iOS 6......

iPhones in Addison, IL
Some of you were complaining because in the past your iPhone tracking said that it would deliver before 3 PM but all time constraints have been removed you will get your iPhone on 9/21 before the day ends.
Is this true for UPS Worldwide Express shipments? The UPS site itself says Worldwide Express will deliver either by 1030am or 12noon. Just curious if that's not actually true for iPhone deliveries.
