This answers the upgrade swap/cross upgrade question, and it is direct from AT&T:

Good link. I spoke to a rep at an AT&T store the other day. They do NOT have nano SIMs (or at least they didn't Sunday.) So do NOT turn on the iPhone 5 until you have gotten the swap straightened out. Once you turn it on, you have "spent" the nano SIM and I'm not sure you can get it switched to a different number. And you may have a hard time finding another one.

He gave me a new sim for my mom's new iPhone 4S, but we were unable to activate that because her line is locked down for the iPhone 5. So I will call, have them swap the sim's on the 2 phones. Then I think I'll use my old phone to call my mom and see which phone she gets the call on. I'll wait till her iPhone is working to turn on my iPhone 5. Don't want to screw up her line or my nano SIM. Bummed it had to go down like this, but I'll get through it. Hopefully the call/trip to AT&T won't take too long. Ugh, who am I kidding?

mine says preparing for shipment also still. Go back to the first page of the forum and try tracking it by reference on UPS website. I used my cell phone number and put in the date range, US and my zipcode and got tracking info. Right now it left Alaska at 12:58am today local time and so far hasnt arrived anywhere..

tried that and no such luck but oh well, main thing it comes in on friday.

My thoughts exactly...

It does show up in the iCloud.com app, Find my iPhone. However, it will not show the location because it obviously won't be on and activated.

Here's a screen shot of what it shows.

Oh please tell me at least someone tried this! Obviously it does not really work. Just trying to help others kill time until their phone arrives on Friday. :)

You were marked as a newb (the forum I mean). My apologies :) Also the phones are off so you would not have a way of tracking it also.

The weight says .90 lbs.

I have not seen any this high. Most are .40lbs.

Did I get 2?

My one phone is 2 pounds, it's all in the way they packaged/prepared the shipments I think. Another member told me all the Addison packages are 2 pounds. It might just depend where they're coming from.

Anyone had any luck presigning for delivery? I won't be home Friday. Mine still shows "Preparing for shipment" but I had no trouble finding it on UPS. Just went from TN to KY for some reason.

Not sure if this will help anyone else, but I used the process on page 1 specifying a reference number (along with country and zip code), but instead of using the CELL phone number(s) I'm upgrading, I used my HOME BILLING phone number (no spaces or dashes), and lo and behold, the tracking info appeared.
