So I have an Amazon Prime order coming in on the 20th fulfilled by UPS. Let's see if "by end of the day" holds true. It's going to be like an exhibition game before the official game starts the next day
.
been on Preparing for Shipment since Saturday.. ordered via the Apple App Store at 12:07am Friday Sept 14th with delivery for 9/21.

Anyone know if its possible to Change Delivery and Ship to the Nearest UPS Retail Store for Pick-Up ??
Quick question. Do you guys know if the new SIM card for ATT comes with the phone? Cause as far as I know the sim cards are different than the iPhone 4's and won't work with the new iPhone. Do I have to go to the ATT store or Apple store to get a new sim card?
I love everyone getting their phones from Illinois, and I am in Illinois and am getting my phone shipped from China, ugh, haha.
i called apple to have them direct UPS to allow pickup. this is the email i have:I'm not sure if anyone actually successfully did this yet. I think some have called Apple to have them direct UPS to allow pickup but, with all the discussion here, I could be mistaken. Otherwise you can pick up Monday the 24th.
Some have talked about having the package delivered to their local UPS store sometime Friday. You have to be a choice member and pay a $5 fee I think.
Same, ordered two from Apple and one from Verizon. Both the ones from Apple are coming from china and the one from verizon is coming from Tennessee!
I wonder if the iPhone 5 release is going to break or has already broken the record for most active users signed into macrumors.com at one time. There's like 4700 folks here now.
I have been thinking about this. What if all the UPS59 phones, made the flight, but in Anchorage, they did the departure scan, but forgot to submit it or upload it???? Maybe the more accurate scan is the Louisville Arrival Scan, and the whole system can't keep up.
So technically every one's phone which have a 12:58 Anchorage departure scan, actually departed somewhere between 3:00PM and 6:00PM, landing and checking in at Louisville, regardless if you get the correct arrival or departure scans at all. IE: The system is broken and we are left wondering why.
Not to mention the glue hasn't dried. Two things, the batches that came out in August were, in all certainty, not Apple's first batches. They assuredly ran design and manufacturing verification batches in July -- or even June. All the kinks were most likely worked out at that time and even if they didn't, Apple has very stringent Q.C. so the phones with any defects wouldn't have passed through their inspections.
Second, if you must feel pity for someone, it should be the people who have had their phones manufactured in September. After a month of near-continious work, the machine bits are starting to get worn out and the workers more and more tired and frustrated -- after working long, arduous hours making the August-batch phones. That combination would surely lead to a lot more issues than any manufacturing issues Apple didn't solve during the verification batches.![]()

What I really want to know is why do I keep trying to track my phone through UPS? It won't be moving agan until at least tomorrow night!
Just found one of the first eBay "lightening adapters"; good seller rating so I ordered 2, fingers crossed.
