Question though. UPS never delivers packages around this time in my area. It always say delivered by the end of day and UPS normally comes around 5:35 PM. HmmHmmm.

What do you guys think?

I think it's just the default delivery time for UPS World Express and Apple will not hold UPS to it.

UPS has never missed a time window when it is given to me. It's rather convenient.

That being said, mine says "by end of day"

Mine was recently updated to 10:30am, and that seems reasonable because I work from home most of the week and frequently get UPS paperwork. It always arrives by 10:30am.

That said, I waited until nearly 7pm last year for my 4s, so I'm just planning a nice, long wait by the door.

Mine started out at "End of Day" then switched to "By 10:30 AM"

However... I only see the "By 10:30 AM" if I am logged into the UPS site.

If I am logged out, it doesn't say the "By 10:30 AM" time.

Mine now says between 10:15 and 2:15.

My UPS guy usually gets here around noon anyway so that's when i'm expecting him friday.

Weird, just changed to this:

You all are LUCKY! Mine says by 3PM.... If I login, it shows 215-615...

Just 2 days ago it showed 1215-215... GRR

Oh well. I have to work the launch day anyway... Meaning I get to play with other people's iPhone 5's before they do ;)

Did you have either UPS or Apple change your shipping address?

Look at all the planes gathering at UPS WorldPort. Must be a convention.. or the iphones finally going home.'

You know UPS could load these phones on planes late Thursday and make all their deliveries Friday. My air shipments usually don't get into the local terminal until 1AM to 6AM on the day they are promised. Its just in time type logistics. Ground shipments not so much.

Hope we have shipping notifications from Apple soon, however.

We know that Apple's contract with UPS is delivery by the end of the day Friday, regardless of what is on the current tracking page. I guess there is nothing stopping UPS from making other commitments, however.

If I have it correct Apple did overnight shipping, and if it is checked as overnight morning delivery then 10:30am is correct. :)

Yes. Somewhere along the line, overnighting the phones was said to be the probability. Which is more than part of the reason, besides UPS's website note, why we aren't seeing any more movement on phones shipped from China.

I'm at 10:30am and am damn happy cause I can get a round of golf in afterwards and not have to wait around for my normal 7pm UPS delivery.

More times will probably bump up as more individual phones are scanned through UPS's system?

Everyone should see their departure scans soon if you are staged at Louisville World Hub. There are several flights departing within the hour all within a couple minutes of each other.

On an unrelated note.. My iPhone is going to be 0.5 miles from my house at about 5:34 AM.. There is a mid-sized cargo plane arriving from Louisville UPS world hub at that time. The airport like I said is less than a half mile from me.

From there it will be loaded on a truck and taken to the hub across town. I think I will follow the truck to the hub and demand my iPhone

... Just noticed there are 2 planes coming from KSDF to KDEC within about an hour of each other.

I have two friends who both ordered at the same time as I did, and both of theirs are in Louisville. (All 16GB White AT&T)

Very good news... :apple:

I am going to sleep right now.. I am going to get up early enough to stroll over to the airport and watch my phone land. I have to get up early tomorrow anyway.. so what ever.

I am also a huge aviation buff so it is not unusual for me to sit at the airport and watch the planes.

I have never saw a cargo plane like what is landing this morning from KDSF at KDEC before so it will be cool.

All you ever see at KDEC is GA and the 4 C208 flights a day to KORD and KSTL
