The official UPS tracking doesn't appear to be picking up the location scans like some of the other third part sites. packagemapping is showing me both phones are in Louisville, while UPS.com is not.

I was thinking the same thing, but it's overnight. And I notice from other packages it can leave at 10PM tonight and get there at 5AM and still get to you. So no worries. As everyone in this thread has stated Apple has this going well and UPS is working too. Whether we get it at 3PM or 10AM it'll come tomorrow. I'm sure they are already sorted in KY and ready to go out tonight and in your hand tomorrow.

True, I don't care when I get it as long as it is tomorrow! (OK, maybe I prefer it come early just a tad)

Sigh. This isn't Apple's, UPS' or FedEx's first rodeo. The odds are very high you will get your phone tomorrow. If you don't, worrying accomplishes nothing. Posting that you're worrying accomplishes even less.

Got the email from Apple... SHIPPED.

One question, the UPS guy arrives at or before 10AM everyday. If I change the delivery address using the UPS My Choice, it won't conflict with Apple's "has to ship to the billing address" will it?

I received my Apple email this morning, but my package was still marked as departed from AK.

I just refreshed and now I see the import scan for KY. Arrival by 10:30AM tomorrow.

Yeah, mine too. And it used to say deliver by end of day but now says by 10:30a.m.!
Somehow I doubt this though since my UPS guy almost exclusively comes by no earlier than 6 p.m.! It would be nice though. We'll see I guess.

And nothing. No way it's trucked, so it had to be on the 4:22a Louisville flight to San Antonio, or a misscan.

If you go to ups to track your package... like most are. now that they have sent out the notices you can see multiple Ref. #'s. one of them is my cell number and there are about 3 others that look like phone numbers as well. I bet if you called them you would get other people in your area that have preordered through apple as well

Seeing as how the driver's delivery schedule is most likely pre-mapped out, I wish that UPS would give a more precise delivery time once they have the schedule. Instead of "by the end of the day", say like "between 6am and 10am". I'm gonna take the day off to wait, but I can't leave the house for fear of missing the delivery. Yes, yes, first world problems, but it would be great customer service for things that require a signature.

I believe all changes have to be made with Apple. Then Apple will notify UPS of the change. That's what I've gathered since Monday.

Did you make a ups mychoice account? I did and mine shows a time window for my shipment.

I got the shipping confirmation from Apple this morning and the tracking number on UPS matches what I found earlier through reference number. However, my phone is showing up in Addison, IL and hasn't moved so far (It's being delivered to Northern VA). Now hoping that the UPS system is messed up and my phone actually shows up on time. Anyone else seeing this?

I don't believe Apple has this policy. Later in the morning on the 12th, while my order was processing, I changed my shipping address to my work. My billing address was still my billing address.

Okay, just had the sweetest Apple rep every, she was honestly a sweetheart lol But she sent in a request to UPS to have it held and she promised me that I would be able to pick it up on Friday morning when the facility gets their shipment. Also I got a email from Apple saying, "We have notified the carrier of your request to hold your delivery for pickup."

So hopefully all goes well! Thanks for everyones help tonight, this stuff is stressful

Great! It should automatically be Labled for holding when it gets scanned for a label at the local sort.

If you are using ups.com, you may want to try a third party site like packagemapping as the ups site doesn't seem to report location scans.

Don't worry, you're phone will come tomorrow. I am also in NJ and tracking shows my phone just getting to KY today. They're probably trying to send them both out to Newark on the same plane.

What do you guys have for the receive date in apple's e-mail? I have 25th September (I ordered 12.03PST)
