Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

I stopped and talked to the same ups driver I talked to yesterday. He said if there's a "1" on your package, it MUST be delivered by 10:30AM. If it has a "1P", there's more leeway in delivery time. The 8th and 9th digits of your tracking number are the shipping method. Mine is "66" so it requires a signature.

When I talked to him, at first he said "if it's coming from Kentucky, it'll take 3 days at the least to get here." I said no, my tracking info says tomorrow, so apple must have an agreement with them. He accepted that. This guy I talked to is a really nice guy. He said that if I see a ups truck and I'm not home, I can ask him to pull over and ask if he has my package.

same here dude, and it's going to maryland for me since I'm here at college. No clue why it went to newark, hope it doesn't have bullet holes in it. :D

If it does not need to be sorted again, often times the destination is shown as your town. It may be on a pallet with a number of them for that town. You may see location scans pop up as it moves through hubs and distribution centers and onto a delivery truck.

Have a 1 or 1P where? Mine starts with 1Z.....
 
Finally in the air again. Hope it get to my local hub tonight! I will be waiting for that morning delivery tomorrow. Already told the desk clerk to call me as soon as UPS comes ::D

I guess tomorrow would be a good day to find houses with papers taped to the door and wait for the UPS guy to come & go...
