Seems like if your phone was already in the states, you have by the end of the day, if your phone was in china, then you have before 10:30. Thats the difference, I think, between next day air saver and world air.

Wrong. There are still a bunch of people with overnight deliveries whose status on the carriers website that haven't been updated yet.

Did it ever occur to anyone that the carriers MIGHT DELAY UPDATING THEIR WEBSITES AS A SECURITY MEASURE????? Why, no, Goober, we'd be glad to give millions of OCD nerds in their parent's basement up to the second coordinates of the most important thing is their lives even if it would give thieves the information they need to intercept millions of dollars of electronic devices.

You're FedEx, we're UPS. Make sure to check whether your package was dropped...

I seriously doubt that is the reason.
 
My phone has arrived in Syracuse NY! -- pretty sure I'll be the first one in my small town with an iPhone 5.
