I've now talked to three different reps on the phone at UPS and given three conflicting stories. MyChoice says that if I put a will call hold on the package, I cannot pick it up until Monday.

The first UPS rep I talked to this morning (stateside) said I could call at Midnight and have it held for 8 AM pickup.

Second UPS rep just sends me to MyChoice, because the package is in transit (between Houston distro hub and Stafford sort facility).

Third UPS rep tells me it will be Monday before I can pick it up (basically just regurgitating what's said on MyChoice).

Looks like I'm waiting for an arrival scan in Stafford and then see what options I have.

I'm actually a little sad that we're at this point. This past week has been awesome. From the beginning when we were all talking about our pre-orders, when the biggest problem we had was "Processing Order", then we learned the UPS trick and had loads of fun tracking our phones, and now we get close to the day we've all been waiting for. I don't get sentimental, but I really have to thank everyone for participating along with me. One of the reasons I love ordering apple products is just to be a part of this excitement in the forums. The Apple community is truly awesome.

But..we still haven't gotten our phones yet, so back to tracking!

Ive read from this thread that pickup is a bad option, 1 member could not get his package from UPS until after 8PM and another one couldn't get it until Monday. I have my ups too and was considering that thinking I can just pick it up early in the AM but after reading their comments I decided it was not a good idea at all. My 2 cents dont do it.

If you got an email from apple it lets you presign for the delivery, maybe you can ask one of your neighbors if any of them will be home or somebody at their house can hold it for you, you just sign the pre sign sheet and put the address of the person you want to hold the phone while youre away and all they need to do is sign then it should be good. Just make sure whoever you choose if somebody you trust.

Yeah I printed the pre-signed agreements from Apple. I'm not necessarily worried about it disappearing in general (as you well know, it's pretty safe in Cypress)...but I didn't want to stick the notices on the door and a local lawn guy get nosey and beat me to it. I work 10m from home and can leave at a moment's notice to come pick it up once I know it's here...but not trusting UPS' system to advise me either.

No neighbors at home during the day (that I know well enough to say - "Hey, will you watch my 3 iPhones)...
