anybody having activation issues?? on the phone with 611 and the autimated machine even said there having tec issues ... meh!! not in a big deal to make phone calls n all but it would be nice to have it activated soon!

I don't back up on iCloud and I am at work... so unless I lugged my iMac with me today I had to wait!
UPS showed up around 11:15 AM EST, been loving the phone every second! Ran to AT&T and picked up a temporary case, just feels so fragile!

I really like HSPA+! My 3GS was getting 200mbps down here at my house, but my iPhone 5 is showing 4G (and there's no ATT LTE in Colorado), pulling about 3.2mbps down.
Did you just call 611 with the new phone? How does one activate with AT&T? (Im going from my IPhone4 on an indvidual plan).

I don't backup to iCloud either, just set it up as new. You can always restore it from a backup later if you really have to, but I suggest a clean setup on a new phone model/iOS version.
So the upgrade swap this morning. The woman eventually told me I would have to activate the 5 with my wife's number, switch to the other nano sim I picked up yesterday, reactivate, and then my phone would be good. Then I would have to go pick up a new sim for her 4S because her sim would be no good. Everything said I was activating under wife's number, but on a whim I decided while running other errands and before I went to AT&T to try using her phone to call mine and vice versa. Both worked. Little extra time figuring it out but at least I didn't go to AT&T and find out it was already working right....

Shame LTE isn't out yet for you. To be honest, a bigger screen and LTE alone would have gotten me to upgrade. In Baltimore I'm getting around 8-9 mbps down. Feelsgoodman.
Sounds like your UPS guy is taking the scenic route.
the guy that came to work said they were all in an hour early to help load and sort there own trucks, normally they are sorted and loaded when they get there...
my window is 1215-415pm... probably the end of his route considering the hub is just down the road.
To be fair, it probably went out for delivery when it was loaded on the truck, but the truck may not have departed the UPS facility for several hours after that.

They put a hold so i can pick it up at the hub near my house. They said it was there so I went out of my way to go, just to be told that it wont be in til 7:30 tonight and 60 people scheduled to pick theirs up tonight as well. If i knew i'd have to sit on a line to get my phone I wouldve waited with the rest at the store. Unbelievable
