Apple.com Preorder Status Thread (merged)

Got my order in a 2:07 Central using the app store app. $1 auth charge right away and full charge on the CC less than an hour later at 3:03 Central. It's in processing, delivery 9/21.
Ordered at 12:15AM PDT, they couldn't verify my info with ATT, gave me a reservation number, got the email that I can finish the order. I just completed the order this AM.
Order is still processing, am I going to be a 2-Weeker even though I tried at 12:15AM PDT?

Got my confirmation at 3:12 AM; 32GB Black with AppleCare+. At Processing Items.
"Delivers 9/21-9/25 via Standard Shipping " makes me nervous.

Should go through soon. Mine was a few min after yours and my card got charged like 20 min ago and changed to processed.
I'm going this route next time. Got burned, though, since my iTunes account =/= my iCloud/Apple ID that I use to order stuff, so the app was signed into my iTunes account when I got to checkout.
I couldn't get either the Apple.com website or AT&T website to work at 2AM (CST), so after about 5 minutes, I opened the Apple Store App on my iPad and was in business.
It wouldn't let me use express checkout (which I had setup on purpose earlier in the day just for this exercise), but I was able to check out fairly quickly, and was completely done by around 2:15 (15 minutes after pre-orders began).
My online order status shows as delivering by next Friday!
On a weird note, the Yahoo servers must have been getting killed last night as I couldn't get my damn email to refresh on my iPhone to verify my pre-order, so I went to the online site, and it was down.

It took about 6 hours for mine to go from order received to processing, so just have patience...I'm sure it's fine.

that is strange if you got in so early - I'm sure you will get on 21st - you can always call apple to confirm, trick is to say you are calling about an iMac and u will get right through to a rep, do not say iPhone as it will hang up on you!!
I think this happens right before they update your status. That happened to me and a couple minutes later it went from received to purchased. Keep checking it.
Last year when I ordered the 4S through AT&T I completed my order with the delivery date set to the first batch of phones to be delivered. I never received a confirmation e-mail in the following two days and my CC was never charged. I finally called my CC company and they said they declined the order due to suspected fraudulent activity. I straightened them out, then called AT&T, and they told me I "should get my iPhone" on the first delivery date as promised. However, when my confirmation e-mail came later that day I was pushed to the end of the line and was given the dreaded "within three weeks". I never got that status updated, after about two weeks with no relief in site I opted to go to the Apple Store (they had what I wanted, a 64GB in white) and cancel my order with AT&T.
This year I'm not eligible until December anyway (my wife's phone on a second line, she is willing to take my 4S so I can get the 5) so the hoopla should be over with by then.
everyone is getting that right now..so they must be updating their system with new information now
almost stroked out, lets hope its an error on their side because att is telling me 3-4 weeks lead time now.
