Same for me, no tracking number yet. Going to guess we'll get ours tomorrow because everything important shuts down on the weekend for us
The second and third one are related to Foxconn's UPS shipping account, since their account number (V5F101) is found in the tracking number of everyone's shipment directly after the 1Z.
The sixth one is all but the last two characters of your order number from store.apple.com/Apple Store iOS app purchase.
That's Apple's best estimate, so that's what we have to go on. It's possible it will come a little sooner, but we won't know until people with pre-orders start reporting. The more cancellations there are (as people buy in stores), the faster the pre-orders will ship.

I got an account with UPS I know how they work. Its literally scanning an item, its got nothing to do with imports or anything. Maybe america will be getting their stuff dispatched first because of the timezone difference.
Anyone with a 16GB able to view their tracking info on UPS or FedEx? Some say it won't show up for a few days because the phones were shipped to the state's already and are being held in the warehouse. Any truth to this?

I ordered it through the Apple store app. 16gb black AT&T. When the 4 and the 4S came out they both were shipped from China so this is interesting that some of them are already in the states.
Well think of how the sacrifice of your phone will benefit all the nerds wanting to know every last detail of the iPhone's guts.
My boss ordered one for himself at midnight and is going to let it sit there until it's jailbroken just because he won't use it stock.
So that phone is just gonna sit there for who knows how long. Usually not right after moving from processing to prepared for shipment state, I've had one moved near 24 hours ago and no SN.
Hmm, perhaps, but despite the time difference the orders should have been logged at the same time. Maybe they're working distance-wise? Further to send, earlier shipping?

Well, for me - personally - I was planning on submitting it to the guy who runs http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html 'cause I thought that'd be useful for everyone. I wanted to know originally because I have a white and black model that shipped at the same time, and I wanted to remove the phone from the Apple ID it was ordered under (family member) and put it under mine.
My mom ordered hers first but mine went into preparing for shipment before hers. I got my confirmation email at 12:23am.
Mine is shipping from China with standard shipping . But my mom phone is shipping from Nashville, TN and her shipping is Holiday shipping.
I'm just glad they're both shipped for Friday delivery !!
Btw mine is a 16gb black Verizon and my mom's is 16gb black AT&T
