Mine is pending.. when I log on to my bank online it recognizes it will get charged but no money has been taken yet... When I talked to an Apple rep they said they don't charge until it has shipped

I ordered from Apple - mine says I have a 10/5 delivery date and a full charge is pending on my card. I think it depends on how you ordered.

Lol

Ummm...that's what this entire thread is about. See the first post.

Ha Ha. I must say, I laughed out loud after I read your reply and then checked the first post to this thread.

I was genuinely excited posting the tracking info not realizing everyone knew it already. I guess it would have made more sense to read the first post PRIOR to posting something. :p

BTW - Still laughing...

I'm with these folks: :)

Shipping from Illinois?

I ordered from apple also but mine is coming from Illinois. I thought it was supposed to come from china like my iPad had came. Is anyone else's coming from Illinois ?

Hey if you guys really want to stalk the flights...

http://www.airnavsystems.com/Tracker/order.html

That tracker is a really awesome program and has worldwide data coverage. Flightstats.com uses it, and they actually currently have data on both UPS flights (the Korea layover and the VHHH-PANC direct). It is a 15 day trial but has some GREAT information and a cool interface :)

EDIT: Although I forgot to mention that is does require a CC# for the trial... I have the paid version cus I am an aviation enthusiast lol.

Mine is coming from China, but a friend's is coming from Addison, Illinois, apparently. I thought that was weird as well.

Just keep in mind, it's hard to have an original thought in a busy forum like this. Before making a new post like "Did you order white or black?", check the first couple of pages or do a search. More than likely someone has beat you to it.

Welcome to the forum and have fun tracking your new iPhone! ;)

Either Anchorage or Korea.

It's on UPS flight 59 from Hong Kong to Anchorage Alaska. There the phones will have to clear customs. Could take 1-2 days there. I'm sure Apple has that streamlined. From there, they head to UPSs hub city to get distro'd throughout the US.

Mine left Hong Kong at 9:34PM (local) today.

It doesn't take more than a few hours, I found. It is all digital, the information gets sent as soon as the aircraft takes off for the US. The info gets sent to UPS's HQ (WorldShip) in Louisville, Anchorage and the customs clearance office. Once the plane lands they offload, inspect (which doesn't take long since the phones are pretty much all uniform and are packaged in the same aircraft loading bins) and then gets turned around to Louisville the same night.

My AT&T 16gb Black/Slate iP5, finally showing up on UPS.com, show Friday delivery. Lest Nashville, TN yesterday at 4pm......never takes 4 days to deliver to TX, but they may hold it until Friday.;)

Ours is on the same truck

Well I guess they could have multiple trucks leaving at 4pm, but you never know!

Mine too!
Still waiting to see if it's making a hop to Korea first then on to alaska or going straight to Alaska.
Either way is fine with me!:D

http://www.iship.com also does the same thing, they are a bit better than packagemapping I find at tying into the UPS API.

As well, in the past I have found that it is not always the case that your phone takes the same *exact* flight to KSDF. There usually are 2-3 flights from PANC to KSDF during high volume times, so if it gets off-loaded for customs (which it usually does) it sometimes gets on a later departing aircraft the same night.

For my iphone, iship doesn't show the 'in transit to' information that packagemapping shows.

flightaware shows that it lands in anchorage, presumably to clear customs before heading to louisville

packagetracking, and ups.com (if you log-in to your ups account) show 6 different references numbers (shows 8, but 2 are repeated)

Find your serial number: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do

... if anyone has one of these models, can they fill in the last four characters from the iPhone 5 serial number found at the URL above?

Also, I spoke with the guy who runs the serial number decoder at chipmunk.nl. He has added in all the data (above) but would like to know what the Apple model number (you've seen these before, looks like what you see here).

When your phone says "shipped," (as opposed to "preparing for shipment" like all ours say so far) then you will be able to click "print invoice" and it will list the model number for your phone. It will be similar to MDnnnLL/A (if you're in the US) or MDnnnC/A (in Canada) or MDnnnDN/A in Germany. If you could post that model number when it becomes available to you along with the last four of your serial again, that'd be great. The more information I can pass along, the better the quality of info can come out of the serial number decoder. Thanks!

Take it as is haha. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Ultimately we are all smart enough to know where it is going anyways. I have ordered too many iPhone and iGadgets and things from Amazon to know exactly what hub it will go to and when hahahaha xD

Some phones were already moved from the factory to locations in the US and UK (possibly elsewhere too) so these will be delivered from those distribution centers.
