has anyone that ordered around 4:30AM EST either a) had their shipment go beyond "processing" or b) had their delivery date moved up?

Not me. I can't believe waiting 1 hour they all got sold. Mine was ordered right at 4am EST and shows 10/5 delivery.

How do we know which flight ours is on?

When UPS shows it departed Hong Kong, check the Hong Kong cargo departures website for a flight around that time.

were there mistakes before with pre-order for 4/4S where ppl got phones before the release date?

someone got remember.. I thought there were a few ppl got there phones the night of.. Am I correct with that statement.. anyone remember why?

Pre-ordered using the Apple Store app, changed shipping address during the "Processing" stage. iPhone was "Preparing for Shipment" early Saturday morning, but hasn't changed since. Tried Fedex and UPS websites to track the shipment and got no info. Shipping to Boston.

Any thoughts?

Looks like UPS 069 or UPS 059 headed out around the correct time, headed to Anchorage

Checking flightaware, UPS 069 is scheduled to land in Anchorage at 12:55pm AKDT. Which is about 6 hours from now

UPS 059 doesn't show up on flightaware yet,

The shipments that stopped in Korea are also headed to Anchorage, and are arriving about the same time today.

I ordered the 32 gig Verizon model.
It says "Preparing for shipping" with delivery date on the 21st.
On Apple Support it has not shown up with the serial number or anything
I can find it for my life on UPS. (I have tried every phone #, every name, etc.)

Same here. My confirmation email was at 2am Mountain time and I'm a 10/5'er too. Ah well, **** happens.

Also, anyone who had a scan around 9:15pm (HKT) then you are prolly on UPS Flight 59 which has its flight plan now on Flightaware, just awaiting an update once it is in their service area and the pilots start contacting US-connected ARTCCs in Alaska

http://www.iship.com also does the same thing, they are a bit better than packagemapping I find at tying into the UPS API.

As well, in the past I have found that it is not always the case that your phone takes the same *exact* flight to KSDF. There usually are 2-3 flights from PANC to KSDF during high volume times, so if it gets off-loaded for customs (which it usually does) it sometimes gets on a later departing aircraft the same night.
