How weird, I have 3 pre-orders and on Apple.com they say prepared for shipment. Yet, 2 of them I can locate on UPS website using the track by reference option. I'm still missing the 3rd phone though. Maybe one is coming via FedEx or they haven't updated it yet. Not sure... the 2 phones left TN thought.

Guess I'll add my voice in too.

64GB iPhone 5 ATT Black and Slate

Ordered 3:30AM

Preparing for Shipment and 9/21 Delivery date.

Also for reference is my friend (aaps59 on this forum) ordered his around 3:50AM and his is arriving with a delivery date of 2 weeks. He's not happy to say the least :p

Yes i think so it is UPS61

the ETA for LOUISVILLE, KY US Sep 17, 2012 11:13 PM
So it will be here tonight i think.

Good site to track your UPS shipment:
http://www.packagemapping.com

it tells you where your shipment is going TO:

I looked my order up on this. According to apple my order is preparing for shipping. According to UPS it departed Nashville TN On 09/16/12 at 4:01 pm. According to this site it was on route to Louisville KY then. There is nothing after that. If that's true it should be in Louisville now. That's only 30-45 mins from me depending on how fast I drive! Wish I could just go pick it up ;)

Update: Found mine via Track By Reference in UPS and the reference was my phone number. Might wanna update the first post to say that that's working!

Just found my serial number and discovered that mine is from production week 37 (September) and all of the other info. Cool stuff!

so I am curious if once the phone gets to the warehouse and UPS/FedEx are holding it for delivery till the 21st, if we can go and pick it up from the warehouse???

Thanks to everyone who posted the very useful information about the support profile to find the serial number, and finding the package by reference in UPS. Thanks to all of this I can confirm that the phone has departed Hong Kong on its way to being here on Friday, that it was manufactured and shipped from Zhengzhou on week 37 (I believe that means last week, so it is fresh from the oven, so to say). This is an AT&T White 64GB phone, ordered through Apple Store app, and with confirmation e-mail at 12:11AM PST.

Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 09/17/2012 9:34 P.M. Departure Scan

For those that Apple said you'd get your phone on the 21st, but don't have updates, or package tracking info I would say hang in there it will most likely be alright. I believe with my iPhone 4S they shipped quite late in the week, but still made it perfectly on time.

By the way, the Apple store still says Preparing for Shipment.

Don't worry you aren't the only. I also ordered three iPhones and can only track two of the via UPS using the tracking reference. I called UPS they said that my package was being merged into one package rather than two. My iPhone shipped from Addison, IL. We should see updates by tonight.

So for fun I've done some maths!

Just out of curiousity, is it countries outside the US that use the term "maths"? I see the useage of that word (with an S) a lot in this forum, but I'm not accustomed to seeing it otherwise.

My 64GB White ATT with a 9/21 delivery date still says "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's site but I'm able to find it on the UPS website using track by reference. Can't wait for Friday!

Thanks for the info - maybe they merged mine as well.

found mine via track by reference and it says product "WORLD EASE," lol is that correct? what is "world ease" ??

Per UPS: Simplify customs clearance by grouping several shipments destined for one country or the entire European Union into a single shipment. This contractual service is available throughout North America and in select countries in Europe, Central and South America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

I don't know where I picked that up, I think they use the "s" in the UK. But since I did have to use multiple maths to come to that number it seemed appropriate.
