For some reason my UPS MyChoice just refuses to add my shipment. I can find it fine with the reference number and I've double checked the addresses but nothing. Just the page telling me how to use the system.

Oh well, hopefully that will change so I can pre-sign.

I currently have five alerts (push, 2xSMS and email) set up to track my iPhone movement (GSM 16g black in Nashville). Doesn't stop me from tracking manually on UPS every few minutes on my day off 🙂 Thanks y'all for all the info and tools in this thread. Wouldn't have my tracking # yet without it.

Try seeing if you go to your account page if it appears there. It may also take a little time for the tracking number and the account to link up. I had the same experience as you originally.

Seems like most Verizon orders are in "Preparing to Ship" state and cannot be tracked. Correct?

Mine is a 16gb black for Verizon and I have been able to track mine since yesterday afternoon

I called UPS, they said they can't hold until the first delivery attempt has been made. She said to set it up using my UPS My Choice account but the first pickup date was Sept 24, no way!

I wish ours was sent using FedEx instead of UPS. FedEx gives you the choice to "hold at fedex location" as soon as you have the tracking info..UPS is lame.

So I ordered mine from a reserve number that I got at like 12:15 pst on the 14th and mine has since updated to prepared for shipping (says it will where on the 21st) but I have nothing in my support profile and when I search my billing # on ups I get nothing but when I search my order number (minus the last 2 digits) I get an order that is being shipped to WA and I'm in CO....any help/ reassuring words?

after you login, you need to search by exact tracking # which you know by now. Searching by reference does not add the tracking #s.

I've been entering numbers on Apple's website and UPS website I can't get anything.

I do know that Apple has outsourced customer service, I could barely understand my representative.

thanks and kudos to everyone who posted the info on how to check if your ordered shipped via UPS. I checked and its in Hong Kong right now en-route to be delivered Friday.

I have Verizon, ordered and received my e-mail 3:17am EST. Item is preparing for shipping but nothing on Apple or UPS. Don't worry!

It's tough. But mine is listed as Holiday Shipping so it probably is already in the US and won't go out until last minute. But we'll probably get it Friday!

I didn't get through until 141am ET,so needless to say,my date is October 5.So I called Radio Shack and they said "Come on down",purchase a $50 gift card as a deposit and pick up your phone on Fri😀,Sat😀 or Sun😀.Today is the last day to preorder and they still had phones available!I called other stores nearby and same situation-phones available.
Lesson learned.
Apple order cancelled.
Hopefully this will make ordering in the future much easier for some with delivery/acceptance issues.Or not.

Careful - I've heard RadioShack tends to overstate the number they'll have on release and people who think they have preordered are still empty handed while waiting on a new shipment. I hope it works out for you but it's something to look into for anyone else reading.

last year most radio shacks only got 2 or 3 phones....don't bank on it.

I was finally able to see my order on UPS after using the phone number that was used on the billing address.

Ordered 16GB ATT Black & Slate via Apple Store app.

Confirmation email received at 3:11am Eastern Time.

Currently in Nashville with scheduled delivery on 9/21 by 3pm.
