My ups tracking is now showing delivery "by end of day," which in my neighborhood has been known to be as late as 7 pm.

iPhone 5 32GB Black & Slate (CDMA), Verizon --> MD658LL/A

iPhone 5 64GB Black & Slate (CDMA), Verizon --> MD664LL/A

Ron

p.s. I ordered at 12:30 AM PDT. My items have said preparing for shipment for a few days and still say delivers on 9/21, although I can't find any tracking information with UPS or FedEx. I'm sure they will arrive as scheduled, but I'm looking forward to getting tracking numbers :)

Same, mine says it's preparing to ship but nothing else has updated

But you still don't know the suffix of the serial numbers of those 64gb and 32gb Sprint iPhones that indicate those model numbers. Therefore, the info for those iPhones is useless to you right now.

Feel free to collect that info :)

To those that are having problems finding your shipment on UPS.

- Find your confirmation email from apple when you placed your order
- Look at the "BILL TO" section of that email

- Find the first phone number listed in the BILL TO section of your email
- That is your REF number (it may be a cell number, home phone, etc... It's from your AppleID profile)

- Go to UPS.com
- click TRACK
- click "track by reference number" below the standard tracking text box
- enter your phone number from above as your reference number

If that doesnt work, just be patient. They sold 2 Million iphones the first 24 hrs and this info has only started populating over the weekend.

I ordered mine at 100AM Pacific - apparently too many phones were sold in that one hour that I have to wait until October.

Crazy concept that they have enough phones for the next 3 days of pre-orders to fulfill for October 5th, but not enough to fill an hours worth of preorders.

I dont care what anyone says - that is ridiculous.

I have experienced on previous orders and I can tell you, they have no idea how much inventory they are getting for any one model or to what carrier. It's always worth a shot, but that deposit guarantees you nothing. As example, I did the deposit thing last with a 4s through BestBuy. They did not get the one I wanted in and of course said they would let me know when it was available however I ended up having to go to another city to get one on launch day...my local BB called me 6 weeks later.

Good luck.

It seems like Radioshack might have their pre-order stock numbers ahead of time. When pre-ordering they trigger an order and they will ship it to the store. There is some sort of order number because as they day went on Radioshack pre-order ability changed. For instance the White 32gb was gone quickly and you could not pre-order anymore. Not sure if they will be available on launch day or a few days after.

The one thing radioshack has going is that nobody shops there anymore and when you tell people they sell phones they have no idea. They have had inventory the past few iphone launches because of this.

Yep - i have a few friends who ordered the same, and its all the same story.

I feel better that we are all in the same boat. I'm pretty sure we'll get them on launch day though.

My brother in law said I should wait for its arrival at the airport, holding a sign that says "welcome home iphone!"

I love your username. I can't wait for the new season of Arrested to air on Netflix!

You're not the only one. I ordered at 3:02am est the day they went on sale, I'm still stuck in preparing for shipment, no other info is to be found.

I'm in the same boat as y'all. Ordered within 15 minutes and my status has been preparing to ship for 48 hours. Bank of America is still processing the payment ($213.00).

No UPS information and no Serial # has been provided as of yet.

My date of delivery is 09/21.

Of course I have to be one of all of the people who can't view any tracking info by doing what you said to do. I placed my order 15 minutes after the presale started on sept 14th. It says order being prepared for shipping but I cannot access any tracking info. Says delivery 9/21 holiday shipping on my account on apple.com. But who knows.... I gotta be patient I guess. Its just not fair tho that other people get to view everything, even the flight their package is in lol.

Yeah I'm not really worried at all. I've done more than my share of pre-orders with apple and I've never got anything late. I'm extremely confident.

That said, I just want a new page to repeatedly hit f5 on.

I'm pretty bummed. I ordered mine the second the apple store was open and people are already getting there's shipped before me?

Mine still says 9/21 but it's still preparing for shipment.

Standard shipping method from china to the east side of USA in 4 days seems pretty silly.

You think you have it bad. I am still 'Processing'. Ordered 3:05 AM EST.

Mine is still "processing" as well and ordered within the first 10 minutes like you, same phone. Apple still says delivers by the 21st with holiday shipping (overnight), so I won't be concerned until it's Thursday.

I'm in the "processing item" stage and I also have a 64GB Verizon.

Careful - I've heard RadioShack tends to overstate the number they'll have on release and people who think they have preordered are still empty handed while waiting on a new shipment. I hope it works out for you but it's something to look into for anyone else reading.

I learned my lesson last year with Best Buy. I went in on the pre-order day and I was the 13th in line. I purchased my card to 'hold' the phone and was super amped. Went on my merry way. On the day of release Best Buy had ZERO phones delivered to them. I spent an hour or so checking the stock of all of the stores in the surrounding states and nada. Best Buy totally jacked up so many people, and so many people were so very angry. I returned my gift card and stood in line for an hour at the local Apple store (on the day of release). Left with my iPhone 4s - not the color I wanted, but the phone I wanted  That was the most important thing, right? (I later learned it was WEEKS until BB received any stock for the iPhone 4s)

I will never trust another store outside of Apple for the release of a new product that has the potential for backorder. They might not have 'enough' supply to last thru the initial hour, but there is some kind of recourse when things do go awry. Plus you don't go thru the spiraling chain of command with Apple. The buck stops, and starts, with them.

All in all I'm happy thus far. I'll be even happier on Friday
