Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I am happy to see all the people getting their iPhone pre-orders on time and without issues. I just wish I had more information.

My card was authorized Wednesday night, and I got an email saying my phone would be here Friday and I'd be updated with tracking information.

I never got the UPS tracking info, and T-mobile says I could still get it today, so I am just in the waiting game with absolutely no way to check its shipment status. Not a happy camper myself.

Anyone else in a similar boat with T-mobile?
 
So... The story in my town in Arkansas is the same as everyone else's. Our Best Buy didn't receive any extra 6+s; they did receive an abundance of 6s though.
The closest AT&T store only received ONE 6+, and I'm betting it was only a 16GB model...

Oh, well. I will be waiting (im)patiently for my 6 Plus 64GB model to arrive from October 13th to October 20th. :.(

Did you notice whether UPS sent a van full of iPhones or are you lucky enough to be near the beginning of the UPS route? I'm at the end so unless a special delivery, I'm looking at 7-8 pm :(
 
we so need to give props to the "MR Lego Man" who built a model 5.5, out of legos! classic, no clue what thread that was in, wonder what he decided to order? ha!

on the bright side, it gives you time to read some real reviews + apple will work out any kinks with IOS 8 + apple often moves up ship date....

did you order from t-mobile? you might get more help in that thread as everyone here ordered from apple

did you try the packagemapping.com site

Out for delivery! Estimated 12:30-4:30 central time. Wish I did the hold for pick up! I work all day though and wouldn't be able to play with it. The anxiety to get home would kill me! Though I guess the wait to go home to my unopened box will also kill me. So excited to see all your phones!
 
iphone 6 Plus arrived

I'm still loading apps and music on my new phone (will take hours) so I haven't played with it a lot. It will take some adjustment on holding it because it is so much bigger than my 5 but I can easily read news articles now - something my eyes were getting a little too old to do on my 5. I'm thinking this will reduce the time I spend on my mini which was the idea.

I want to say thanks to all on this forum. This was my first year doing a pre-order. In years past I had been lucky to walk into a Best Buy and get my iPhone of choice on opening day. I was concerned that might not happen this year hence the pre-order. I'm glad I did it - after reading posts about how no additional Pluses were shipped I think it was the right move. Thanks for the advice of the veterans for pre-orders. I will see you all for the iWatch launch?

I'm at UPS in Santa Rosa California and there are about 30 trucks all leaving at the same time, they won't let us pick up packages till 9 so I'll be sitting in my car for ten minutes

I understand. What I did was spend 3 additional hours on the phone to Apple (well, speakerphone waiting) to talk to someone about it. You needed to do that to get some kind of assistance. Some people were given cases, some got their dates moved up by a few days. But at this point, I agree with you. I'd just leave it.
 
Sadly, I did not chose 'hold for pick-up.' It is almost noon here and my phone has not yet arrived.

The reason I am anxious is that I need to go to the Apple Store and change which contract is associated with it as I chose the wrong line and the phone cost $200 more than I would have paid if I had chosen the correct line to upgrade.

Also, I want to see the leather cases.

you really want to go today? i'd stay away until next week, you have 14 days to sort it out

mine is not here yet either and i saw my guy now it's pouring rain thus may take longer!!
 
Arriving sooner than expected

I ordered the iPhone 6 + 64gb and my original delivery date was Oct 1st-6th. Then it bumped up to the Sep 29th. Now it's saying Sept 25th next Thurs! Good! Give me one more bump up lol. Can't wait to see your pics & vids

Btw my wife got the 6 and hers gets here today. Needless to say I'm going to be playing with hers!
 
hello all, if i order the contract free (t-mobile version) 6, does that mean it's the unlocked version? i assume no, but would there be the unlocked version later on?
 
Anyone in Los Angeles area get their iPhone from UPS / FedEx already? I'm waiting here at work. Wish I had an office view of the front of the building so I could watch for delivery trucks, lol. :D

I actually enjoy the Launch Day Madness. Since I ended up not having to work today, I toyed with the idea of waiting in line just for fun. (I know, I have no life)

To me, the excitement in the store makes it feel like Christmas. I still need to decide on a case, so I may end up going anyway.
 
I'm still waiting for my package. I honestly don't think UPS will be back until 5-7pm.

Yes I said, 'back'. They deliver to my building only commercial packages early and come back later in the afternoon for residential deliveries. Oh well, I can wait!
