Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I received my iPhone 6 Plus (128GB) from Apple via UPS today. I pre-ordered it from Apple.com (via the Apple Store App) at around 3:20AM on 9-12-2014 (when the store finally came up). Early this morning I changed the delivery method (I have UPS My Choice) and had them hold it at UPS facility for me. I got nervous because there was a sign that said that you requested them to hold a package after 7PM the previous day it wouldn't be available until the next day. I didn't tell them to hold it until 6:00am this morning (gulp!). Thankfully it wasn't an issue and when I picked it up today at 11:00am it was there. It was funny because there were 2 other guys there to pick up their iPhones as well. The UPS clerk said they had a huge line this morning of people there to pick them up when they opened at 9:30am. :)

Also, my Spigen Tough Armor case for the iPhone 6 Plus also arrived today which was good timing!

Just wondering if everyone else is in the same boat as me for having ordered around this time. My understanding is that the store didn't start working until 6am EST, so I was only 3 hours late, and now I must suffer an entire month?

I wouldn't look at it that way. If the store had been up it would have been swamped at 3AM with orders and you may have still been in the same boat. There is no way they could meet the demand with the low quantities available. Appears though a number of people are getting shipment notifications earlier than expected though so thats promising.
 
1:16pm here in southwestern Ontario Canada, and I'm still waiting.
Really hope I don't wait till after dinner. But on the other hand, I'm thankful to get mine today period. Especially after reading what others have gone through.

I ended up going with the premium account expecting I'd be able to select some timeframe but that ended up not being the case. Hopefully it will come in use for future shipments I have coming in. Little bit irritated with UPS because it feels like a waste of money when you can't do whats advertised!
 
Doesn't help for us who aren't getting today, but I checked UPS and sure enough my phone is supposed to arrive on Monday! Last scanned from China this morning, so thats pretty sweet!

My phone went to Preparing for shipment yesterday afternoon for a point of reference.

how do you know if your phone is being shipped from China?
 
Preordered my iPhone 6 Plus Silver 128 GB from the Apple Store APP at 12:44 AM PST on the 12th of September.

Yesterday, I got the wonderful...

"We’ve been trying to confirm eligibiliy with Verizon for your iPhone order. Unfortunately, your eligibility has not yet been confirmed. As a result, this order will not reach you by the anticipated delivery date." email yesterday from Apple.

Contacted Verizon and was told everything looked good on their end and they weren't sure why Apple was trying to confirm Eligibility because I was not using an upgrade. Contacted Apple and they told me everything looked good on their end and that my order is now Preparing for Shipment.

For the inconvenience Apple offered to send me a free Leather iPhone 6 Plus case and they upgraded my shipping to Next Business Day on the case.

So my Delivery Date is now September 24-26. Guess thats better than a month or more. Can't wait for my iPhone to get here!
 
Has anyone ordered an iPhone 6 plus from AT&T (not Apple) and have received shipment info or got there phone. i ordered my phone on 9/11 at 11:58pm 2 mins before midnight and its still has a status of "Preparing to Ship" with shipment between 10/2 - 10/13. just kinda dumbfounded by all of this
 
Showed up at local Apple Store for my in-store pickup of my shinny new iPhone 6+128G just before the lunch rush at 10:45. it's more awesome than i expected! Including wait time, I was in an out in less than 45 minutes, which included pick up of my iPhone 5 button recall repair.

Name one other retailer who can process as many customers thru a complex process in a single day! Except for concert ticket outlets, which is nowhere near as complex.
 
Good news is that my 6+ was loaded onto a truck at 5:50am. Bad news is that it's still scheduled for delivery "By End of Day". I want to play with it now!!!!!
 
Just installed a full body screen protector and I'm off to find a case because none of my preordered cases came in.

Anyone else notice how much better the speakerphone sounds?
 
I've received an email saying "Your shipment is on its way." and the delivery date is the 29.... but I go to the UPS page to track my order and it says on the 25th...so... which one is the right delivery date?
 
Got my iPhone 6, absolutely love it! And its the contract free Tmobile one, its fully unlocked and I'm using it on AT&T

SOB UPS..... Usually when I am not present, they drop off my package at my apartments office for that signature required. Nope not today driver was an ass and didn't do that. First time they have ever done that. Now waiting to see if I can go pick it up later today after the driver returns from his rounds.....
