Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

Picked my 6+ up this morning at 9:30 AM EST when our local Customer Center opened and chatted with the 3-4 people in line also picking up their preorders! :D Thrilled!
 
Picked up my 6 Plus at a UPS Customer Center this morning around 11:30. Absolutely loving it so far. So glad I was able to make it into the launch day pre-orders.

My 5s officially seems tiny.
 
Both my 6 and the wife's made it here safe. Going from a 5 to this the size is noticeable. But the wife from a 4s to hers is HUGE. I was nervous about this not being a big enough upgrade and wanting a plus. But I am happy.
 
got it earlier this morning via UPS, delivered and activated. this thing is a beaut!!

So funny thing happened with me this afternoon. I left the house to run some errands and after hearing from some in the forums that the UPS guys will not deliver to an empty house, I rushed home with my wife to the house. As I turn down the street to my house, I see a UPS truck there!!

I was nervous he had already went to my house. I flagged him down and asked him if he had visited. He said no, but he was nice enough to give me my iPhone 6 Plus a couple of hours early! He just needed to see my ID and verify my address.

He did say he was taking some iPhone's back because he was told to not deliver if the individual was not there. YMMV depending on your UPS center though.

"We’ve been trying to confirm eligibiliy with Verizon for your iPhone order. Unfortunately, your eligibility has not yet been confirmed. As a result, this order will not reach you by the anticipated delivery date." email yesterday from Apple.

Contacted Verizon and was told everything looked good on their end and they weren't sure why Apple was trying to confirm Eligibility because I was not using an upgrade. Contacted Apple and they told me everything looked good on their end and that my order is now Preparing for Shipment.

For the inconvenience Apple offered to send me a free Leather iPhone 6 Plus case and they upgraded my shipping to Next Business Day on the case.

So my Delivery Date is now September 24-26. Guess thats better than a month or more. Can't wait for my iPhone to get here!

Why is that everyone that called is getting free stuff? I called Apple twice about my order and they didn't offer anything at all.

The bad thing is I've been sick for a couple days and have been napping on my couch, but since I can see the road and parking areas right in front of my living room windows, every time I start to doze I hear something and am gawking out the window thus thoroughly destroying my nap, which is making me feel worse from my sickies.
Ah what a vicious circle.

Yeah that presignature thing is only as good as what the UPS driver delivering wants to do. They reserve the right to disregard and require a signature if they think it is needed. I bet some will be missed for that reason :(.

My phone just got delivered at 2:57pm. I left the presign paper on the door and UPS left it no problem..... now to get off of work....

Still patiently waiting here in Los Angeles :)

I have posted signs by the doorbell of the fourplex and at my front door to knock loudly lol I did miss the delivery of the 5 and had to drive around the neighborhood to find the UPS guy. I did find him blocks away. I am such a nerd!

Feeling left out not ordering the 6 Plus, but I think I will be happy with the upgrade in size of the 5 to 6 :cool:

Delivered at 2:30....

Off to the world of iPhone 6 + land.

Been fun and we can do this again in a year or two....depending on what 6s can bring. :)
 
Any one looking forward to some app updates like for Chrome. On the plus it just looks like a magnified screen and does utilize the bigger real estate very well. I've loaded the same page in safari and see a big difference

I don't get it. I read others are getting their 6+ delivered today, yet mine still shows a shipping date estimate of 10/2 to 10/13.

I ordered the gray iPhone 6+ 64GB from AT&T the minute pre-orders opened at about 11:44pm on the 11th. I got my order confirmation email at 11:46pm.

How is it that I'm not getting mine with the first group? :confused:
 
Got my 6+ from UPS about an hour ago. Still waiting for my partner's 6 via FedEx/Verizon preorder.

The 6+ is stunning...I can't believe how thin it is. I don't mind the antenna lines on the back. Prefer that over a solid silver back. I put a Spigen Neo Hybrid EX bumper on it. Looks fantastic.

Hope everyone who is waiting gets their phones soon!

Check out the AT&T thread. When AT&T preorders opened up, it clearly said "Shipping Estimate 14-21 business days" which is why I waited for the Apple store app to begin working for preorders.
