I can't believe the store is still down and it's 4:33 AM EST. I just want to pre-order my T-Mobile iPhone Apple!
 
Here's a bigger mess:

Called att yesterday to pay of existing NEXT so I could order. This is before I found out about the "NYC people can't do next online" deal. They charge me $444 to pay off my old 5S - fine. A few hours before the online store closes down, i check and see that I get error messages for a next upgrade on both AT&T and Apple.com. By now, AT&T has closed. I get a hold of online chat after hours who are pretty moronic and say "sure you will be fine when preorders open"

Well guess what: When Preorders opened, the NEXT upgrade errored out at Apple.com. When I try to order on att.com, it says that I have one payment left to pay my 5S off - a load of crock as i had paid att off completely the previous night. Try and order from ATT by paying it off, it won't accept it. I tell it that I will return the device (no i won't, since i paid it off) in a month and upgrade to 6+ 128. Get a confirmation screen but no charge no email. Same thing when i do a regular upgrade for a 6 on another line. But no email or charge - for both lines now, which is pretty disconcerting, specially after being d!cked around by att. I head off to Apple and do the regular upgrade there, get a confirmation of delivery by 9.19 and an email.

So for now, I will call att when they open and tell them I am not sending the 5S back and to cancel the 6 order through them before i get double charged for the same phone from att and apple. Since Apple was erroring out when trying to do the next, I am not going to do that deal through them, just the 6 on a regular upgrade.

What a headache just to get two damn phones. Hate ATT.

why did you wait to the last minute to pay it off?

I want to grab a 6+ 64gig gold but Im afraid Ill take the upgrade, Ill go thru the process, and itll say "Ships Oct 1st" or something :

They never offered the 6+ for 9/19 delivery. 3 or more week delivery
 
Just spoke to a TMO rep who says their store should be up at 5am EST. Lots of people on Twitter saying reps telling them 7 or 8.

Big grains of salt with all this. We know they're notoriously misinformed.
 
Major f-up by apple. There's no way they can't get the site up after an hour and a half.

Ha you might have something here. I'm trying to walk away but the emails are rolling in now.

Apple 6+ was charged and is in processing state while the gold 6 is just "recieved order" and no charges.

Finally got the confirmation emails from ATT (1.5 hours later!). 6+ confirmed for 14-21 business days and 6 gold confirmed for 19 September.

So I may end up canceling the att 6+ and canceling the Apple store gold 6 since each seems to be delayed while the other store is citing release date availability. AWESOME if it works out like that. I'll check back in a few hours though before I do anything. Hopefully my persistence paid off.
 
you can probably switch in store, who knows perhaps we will get a free case, i hear they can wobble pretty good!! ha!

I didn't go through with it. Almost did. It just didn't seem worth the hassle at 3am. I also got a reservation number but I doubt the model/ size will be available when I can continue.
 
Looks like almost everything sold out via Apple app. That was pretty fast.

What makes you think that? All of the phones have been marked as unavailable when I go onto the app since a little after 3am EST but I was finally able to go through Apple's site using Chrome as the browser and order 2 6+'s a little before 4am, both scheduled to be delivered on 9-19.
