Apple.com preorder thread - iPhone 6/6 Plus

I got to say since I first got an iPhone with the 4S, this has been the worst pre order experience. Web store just down, people having various issues with the app, carrier sites. Were there others pre 4s that was this bad or worse?

Never has been this bad in the history of Apple. NEVER. And I've pre-ordered or ordered day of on every launch. At least in the past they sold through stock and then gave delayed delivery expectations accordingly.

Nobody has even been able to get to store.apple.com... that's the joke of it. Hopefully some heads roll in the Store group cause they botched this one.

I'm curious, was anyone else trying to order through verizon and getting the ECPD error?

Yep, I did for over an hour and a half - finally went through on Safari for Windows, but I think I took a different route - went in through my device upgrade screen and got a different order screen that looked different than the others, then it worked.

After trying for 1.5 hours with Verizon AND Apple app on both iPhone and iPad, Verizon finally started working and I got a 64GB Gold iPhone 6! Delivered 9/19 That was horrible... will NEVER use Apple again! Will always go through my carrier...

I'm sure it didn't help that I'm at my grandparents and their internet is super slow though

Theres no way that Apple sold thru all their preorders thru the App before the store even opens up, is there? I mean, logically I dont see millions of people using the App to get them...?

I did this and alternated with the pre order splash screen on Verizon's home page. Since I was doing edge, couldn't do it through the Apple app. Not how I wanted to spend the start of my birthday, but at least I got today off.

I was initially leaning towards the plus, but decided with all this crap I was fine with my original decision of the 6.

I do hope apple addresses this pre order fiasco. It's really bad when the store site is just down, and across all the telco carriers (US) various issues across the board. It's just bad. Especially after the hilariously awful live stream.

Riddle me this: how does 7-10 business days equal OCT 1-6th??? Seems to me it should be 9/26 unless Apple doesn't use 5 business days as a work week!!

It's not a scam, and it's easy to generate links for different models for ATT/Verizon.

T-Mobile ... not so easy.

Finally!

I finally got a Verizon 64 GB Silver. After nonstop trying since 2 AM here in Chicago. Bought it from Verizon directly. The ********* up Apple app wouldn't work worth a damn.

Verizon order says "will deliver by 9/19". Hopefully that's the case!

Out of the 12 people waiting for an iPhone 6 at my local SoftBank store in Japan, I was the one who wasnt preordering the plus! That was surprising.
At least it pretty munch guarantees that I'll get mine day one.

I'd be very cautious. buyiphone.apple.com is legit.. but I do NOT know about buyiphone6.apple.com. Seems sketchy.

I just look at my Visa online and there was $1.99 charge then it says $426.93 Visa transaction decline due to reported fraud/Dispute. Has anyone seen this? Am I screwed in getting this thing by the 19th?
