How about this nonsense:

My order disappeared from the apple store app, the order history there says "no orders in the past 18 months"

When checking on apple.com my order shows up and is in the preparing for shipment stage.

Was your credit card charged? Call your bank and check...my card was charged within 1 hour after of the purchase. I checked my bank and confirmed Apple took the money so I was confident it went through.

It won't find the tracking number until apple marks the order shipped and the tracking number is attached.

Not true, apple.com still lists my items as processing and a delivery date of 10/1-10/6. After using ups.com and searching by reference, it found an item and it had a tracking number. After that, i tried logging into my ups account and that allowed me to see my scheduled delivery date of 9/19 by 3pm. Apple.com is not up to date by these findings.

I think fedex has a similar reference tracking method.

My credit card was charged immediately. The order was showing up on the app until this morning. I'm not worried, just found it weird.

I wonder how many people didn't wait for their confirmation email letting them know to finish their order within 24 hours. See I got the one for my phone and completed my order, but didn't get the one for my wife's phone even though I submitted hers first. After not receiving her email I went ahead and tried to complete it anyways and sure enough it let me, but gave me 3-4 weeks delivery. I figured it was because the 64gb models were just too popular and were sold out already (This is 11am on the 12th). I talked to my wife and she said we'd just try to get one from the Apple store on the 19th for her. Well 30 minutes later I got her confirmation email and sure enough, went through the process and got 9/19!

I canceled my regular order of 3-4 weeks and went that route with a 7-10 day shipping, I think our place in line was respected.

Yah thats plain weird...In any case, I would call Apple tomorrow morning with the order number and confirm the exact status.

Apple.com is still listing my delivery dates as 10/1-10/6.

Using the UPS reference tracking method with my phone number I was able to find my ups tracking number. 1.3lbs. Label created 9/13. Then I remembered that I have a myups account. Logged in and it told me the ship date is 9/19 by 3pm. Score!

iPhone 6+ 64GB Space Gray ATT. Got reservation number around 4:15am 9/12 and completed the order around 12:30PM EST 9/12pm.
Ok, now I'll be annoyed if I don't get mine launch day. Ordered the same thing and got my reservation number 9/12 1:09am Pacific (4:09am Eastern) and completed order by 9/12 8:39am Pacific (11:39am Eastern).

My order Prepared for Dispatch on Friday, the phone showed up in my support profile yesterday, and I still can't track my package through Fedex or UPS:/

I'm in the UK for the record. And my delivery is scheduled for Friday (Launch Day)

Apple.com still lists 10/1-10/6 and still processing and no tracking number, but ups is showing 9/19 and a tracking number based on the reference phone number. iPhone 6+ 64GB Space Gray for At&T.

It's crazy, my CC shows no charge for Apple, real or pending. I'm in the Oct 1-6 camp.

Well, mine was only charged today and shows preparing for shipment. I say charged but was only put in the pending area so far and it is due to me by 9/19. But Apple told me technically they don't normally charge until ready for shipment. I know some were charged but just saying I don't think you have to worry until it gets closer to shipment. They may not be even looking at some of those yet with a shipment out a ways. Some may have cards that go through automatically somehow. Mine obviously doesn't lol.

My iPhone 6 Leather Case - Midnight Blue Shipped with a tracking number on Apple's website.

There is also 1 out of 4 serial numbers listed under my support profile now.

I'm only worried because I've read a lot of others who have said that Apple either charged them the full amount already, or that there is a pending charge on their CC. These people are those that aren't having their phones delivered on 9/19. I'm just hoping for the best at this point.

I'm still processing. I got hosed when there was a mystery problem with my order that I completed five minutes after they began taking them. Had a 9/19 date then. Basically created a new order at a store later in the day, and now I'm on 9/23-10/2. It really irked me that I couldn't figure out what the mystery problem was online and was told to call a number.

Yes, call someone. On iPhone preorder day. The f@$@, AT&T? So, duh, the lines were always too busy for my call to get taken. But the lady at the corporate store nearby was very helpful despite the fact that her iPad 2 (REALLY?) and all the software on it weren't helping. But we got to the computer and I was able to place a new order. The other one will just die Friday now.

I mean there are worse things. But someone needs to work on their software.

Mine is for 10/1 - 10/6 shipping also. I have seen the temporary authorizion for the $99 (applecare) on my order since a few hours after ordering.

Ditto, full charge for phone and applecare pending, status is preparing for shipment, delivery date shows as 9/19.

No invoice yet, not in my support profile yet, so no serial number yet. I don't mind as long as delivery date doesn't change (I've never had an apple pre-order delivered late), waiting and checking is half the fun.

Will this app find that actual tracking number? So far it just seems to show that you have an order.

It only gives you the same information available on a company's website. I use it all the time so I don't have to keep refreshing websites, but it's not a detective.

Not seeing anything when using phone number.

What are you saying...??

You saw it after you signed up or chance it happened to show up?

----------

What site did you go too?

You're talking about something completely different.

We were talking about the Delivery Status Touch app and it's Apple.com order tracking feature.
