Apple Contacting Some Early Apple Watch Customers: 'We're Working on Your Order'

I pre-ordered using Apple Pay and my fingerprint to confirm the purchase. Since then nothing.

I dont have a CC or any progress. I did get the email.

I there any one who used the fingerprint and apple pay that already got it shipped? Maybe it has something to do with that? Maybe people who paid using a CC instead of apple pay are getting theirs first?

Just grasping for some idea as to what the heck is the hold up.

Same here, same configuration. 4/10 3.20am EDT confirmation email. EOD Weds PM. No cc charge, still in processing.

Fortunately have not yet seen a watch in the wild, or would've cried.

just got back from Apple store

So i just went to the Apple store here in Charlotte NC.
Very curious for those of us who ordered the Space Black SS with Link. While there was one under the glass on the watch table, the "try-on" models had been removed from the stores. I asked whether the other store in the Charlotte Area had one and she said it was removed from there as well.....
Possible production problem with the carbon coating perhaps?

I'm in the US. Got my order in at about 3:15 AM EST (so 15 minutes after pre-orders opened) and the confirmation email a minute later. Got the 4/24-5/8 delivery date window. What exactly do you mean in saying that you got your shipping bumped to next day though?

If you open your order you'll see that the option you have is standard shipping, that was all being offered on launch and even now, however, the reps have the power to make it faster shipping, so she made mine - "next day", since we know the watches are being shipped form US hubs, to me it sounded like it will be faster by default then what they might put it on, once it dispatches local hub.

I tried calling to get them to upgrade my shipping, and this is what they said: "By default, Apple is using Next Day Air shipping right now because they want to get the Watches to customers as soon as possible." So basically he said I already have Next Day, even if it doesn't show on the order status page.

Yep that is what I heard too, but I thought for watches being delivered from Monday onwards they won't bother as much, hopefully I'm wrong, but just to be sure, I asked her to do what she could, and it won't hurt having it officially there.

Any chance that the orders that arrive closer to May 8th will end up coming direct from China instead of from somewhere in the US? That's pretty much how I've gotten every other major Apple product I've ever bought (including my late-2013 MBP preorder).

Placed separate orders via Apple Store app w/ ApplePay/TouchID at 3:03 am on 10 Apr (within 10 seconds of each other).

Received EOD for both orders on 22 Apr.

CC charged and status changed to preparing for shipment at 11:34 am on 26 Apr for both orders.

Has anyone received the shipment confirmation for a steel and classic?

I got my 42mm Steel Classic Buckle on Friday. They were really late billing me but the watch came on time. I got my order in extremely fast. I had a trick!

A lot of people seem to have been delay in getting the web site to load by browser or ISP level caching. I side stepped these problems by using Internet Explorer 11 and forcing an HTTPS connection. IE's simplified caching, networking and session handling model made it wildly superior for this particular use case. I was running 2 laptops at 12:01am. Chrome was unable to load the web site until after I was completely done ordering while IE loaded the web site instantly at 12:01am.

I meant to say silver to indicate color, not watch body material (as alum would be a sport watch). Post should read Qty 2 of 42mm SS (silver, not SG) with BSB. Sorry!

For those concerned about shipping times:
My order status on Apple website indicated "Standard Shipping" throughout the "Processing" phase. UPS website shows both watches shipping via Next-Day Air.

Ordered a 42mm ss bsb on 4/10 with 3:03et confirmation email and got the EOD on Wednesday. Saw no movement until this morning my cc was charged and its preparing for shipment !!!!!! Finally!!!! Hopefully things move along fast and Apple is still doing next day delivery. But I'm happy things are moving. Hopefully everyone here in the same boat gets or has gotten a status change as well.
