I'm curious about this:

"Apple also told me that any problems with the butterfly keyboard on any of its MacBook Pros would be covered at no cost to the customer. The company has also taken steps to improve the repair process, shortening the time it takes to make repairs to the keyboards"

If earlier 2016/2017/2018 MBP keyboards need repairs, will they be repaired with this new material?

"Dragonfly keyboard with lightning bugs..."

So the 13" shows a 'new' label, but I only see it maxing out to "2.8GHz quad‑core 8th‑generation Intel Core i7". Does the 8 core only go into the 15"? Anyone know what may have changed to make the 13" display as new?

Is apple serious no re design no faster graphics just a cpu update, shame on apple give us something new like a new design
I don't follow specs day-to-day, but I don't remeber anything beying teh Radeon 560X and now I see this...

"Configurable to Radeon Pro Vega 16 with 4GB of HBM2 memory or Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 4GB of HBM2 memory"

I wonder when the 12” MacBook will get upgraded. It should at least get the new keyboard. Will Apple wait until it switches to ARM, or will they put another Intel chip one more time?

The new keyboard uses a new material that Apple says will cut down on the failure problems that users have seen.

I'll believe it after the new keyboard has been out 6 months to a year. People thought the 2nd gen butterfly keyboard would be the fix... it wasn't. People thought the 3rd gen would be the fix ... it wasn't. Forgive me for having doubts about the 4th gen. This should at least shut those up who denied the 3rd gen still had issues. Apple would not be making this 4th attempt if there weren't still issues with the 3rd.

I think the reason for no i9, is the heat issue. Alienware, anyone?? ;-)

Do you think 2018 MacBook Pros that have keyboards failing will be replaced with 2019 keyboards?

Do 2018 MacBook Pro Keyboards also fall under the keyboard repair program?

Secondly, was there any update to the T2 Chip?

Sometimes I hate Apple for this. I JUST bought a Macbook 3 weeks ago!

Why? I bought a 2017 MBP 13’ over a year ago. My 16GB of ram, 1 TB SSD, and my i5-7287U processor is doing just fine, and will be fine for many many years to come. Keyboard is doing just fine too (for my wife and I).

I remember when I bought my 2017 MBP 13’ last year and less than 2 months after they announced new MBPs - I initially had a tinge of regret but looked at the price of the higher CPUs and 32GB of ram for 15’ only and said no thanks.

Happy to see the keyboard getting some attention. Our MBPs are great laptops and we expect to get 5-6 years out of them before upgrading.
