While I agree the 6 and especially the 6 plus will cause headaches for Samsung, I don't expect the runaway success of this year's launch to repeat itself at the levels we just saw when the 6s comes, and definitely not with the 7. There has been a huge pent-up demand for an iPhone with a bigger screen for a long time, and the fact that it finally came is what made this launch so spectacular. But by next time the novelty will have worn off...
First of all there are other forces at work here. A huge percentage of smartphone owners contracts are up this cycle. In fact the biggest in years. Some say it's over 100 million alone.. I'm not saying that but some analysts are.
I agree with you about the 7 but not the 6s. Why? The 6 brand will remain very high for one more cycle at least. That's my take.
Smart phone sales and turnover will undoubtedly slow down as saturation is near. Samsung itself keeps saying this over and over. Apple will not be immune from this slow down

Well, it's a good thing Apple followed in Samsung's footsteps then and decided to release bigger phones. Otherwise the iPhone 6 wouldn't have garnered as much attention as it has.
Thank you. You almost can say it played out perfectly in Apple's favor...
