Why am I thinking of this kind of crap:
www.incredimail.com

I just can't believe that anyone, anywhere, actually can get even the slightest excited about cringeworthy effects in text messages.

It's not in any way sweet, just a bad excuse to look sweet for lazy people. To be sweet you would have to actually get off your ass (hey, use your watch and track the distance!) and meet up with the person who is having a birthday instead of using stupid effects in a message. If you're too far away, send them an MMS video instead wishing them happy birthday. I'm quite sure a p-e-r-s-o-n-a-l message would feel a hell of a lot more sweet than a prerecorded effect programmed by a greedy multinational company.

/grumpy old man, obviously...

I find it kinda sad that they're focusing on a little feature that's just for fun and definitely gets old quickly. Does anyone actually use these effects? I tried it once, and it was fun, then never again. And really, "on iPhone 7"? It's not a hardware feature. This is the kind of thing Android "fanboys" make fun of Apple for.

The only reason I updated is because iOS 10 seems faster than iOS 9, and I needed to update for work. The GUI looks nicer in some places. Overall happy with the update as a whole. Well, they made the Music app worse, as usual.

#balloongate A balloon would never float like that. Apple is just lying about it so they can make moneys and Tim Cook can run to the bank laughing with his money.

I used it once, laughed, then forgot it existed already until I saw this. Pretty much none of my friends use this either. Turning phone sideways and writing with finger, definitely use that, but the rest of it.. the pop up text, slam, balloons, wtf. who cares.

I can't get mine to work for some reason.

Are you on iOS 10? sending to someone who is also on iOS 10?

And apparently, also this

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General, and then tap Accessibility.
  3. Scroll down and tap Reduce Motion.
  4. Turn Reduce Motion off by tapping the on/off switch on the right side of the screen. Your iMessage effects are now turned on!

People really like this that much? Not to be the antagonist, I don't want to be "that guy" but it was far too emo for my taste. Like come on.
Thank you.

Just shows how incredibly easy it is for a company to tap into a lot of people's emotions like that.

Nice homage to "The Red Balloon" an absolute classic french film from 1956. If you enjoyed this you have to see the original it really is magical!
Definitely.
Not sure how one does a little write up on this ad without just a mention of "Le Ballon Rouge".

I find apples new ads to be stupid. Honestly, my favorite was the retina macbook pro ad they ran years ago for the 15 inch. short sweet and to the point.

Yep. Literal. No imagination. You nailed it.
Actually, it's fine for just what it is. Ohhh, and guess what... So is this new commercial.

As if the CG balloons weren't annoying enough.

j/k
Are you kidding?? Someone will complain just because their eyes saw the ad at all.
They'll complain just because...

It's courage when they don't use common sense. Was the creation of magic mouse 2 genius?
Don't know if it was "genius". Seems pretty obvious to me. But it's funny how some people still can't figure it out.

Messages is a bit of a cluttered mess. It's like they waited years watching everyone else expand their chat clients and then all in one release with iOS 10 said "alright, let's throw EVERYTHING at it." As much as I hate Facebook, the Messenger app by Facebook is so much better than Apple's mess in my opinion. It's clean, simple yet you can still do the extras (stickers, gifs etc.). Once you've used both for a while it's hard to go back to Messages by Apple.

It's really easy to find something else that isn't a **** show when it comes to destroying your battery life and trying to track your every movement. No thanks. It has it's place for some but for others, no. FB is a cancer.

Definitely.

It would have been great if the port was front or back part of the mouse...not under...lol.
