And, if I keep forgetting to charge it for several days at the exact moment I leave the office, just to get a mouse unresponsive at the beginning of another day, am I supposed to just give myself one day off?
Yah. If you're such a dick that you ignore your computer telling you for the 10th day in a row to please charge your mouse. (even when you could have done it 20 days before even that, or any time at all when you weren't using it), then you'll have to do what I do when I'm that stupid; plug in my $4 wired mouse while I charge my Magic Mouse for 2 That's "two" whole fkn minutes for an entire day's charge.
I'd guess you don't have an iPhone (or any smart phone). I mean, if you have that much trouble managing power storage you'd never survive.

Wow. Thanks for posting that! I am astounded to see that film all digitally enhanced and cleaned up. (I haven't seen it for a long, long, long time)

Every single rechargeable Logitech mouse released in the last 15 years has had the recharging port placed on the front of the mouse. Every review I've ever read where that fact was mentioned was done so positively, as in "hey I can still use the mouse normally even while it is charging." Every review for the updated Magic Mouse that mentioned the placement of the Lightning port did so negatively, as in "why the hell didn't they just put it on the front so it would be still be usable while charging?" Not a single one I read, and I tend to read a lot because I'm weird in that regard, spoke positively of the matter. In fact, you're the first I've ever seen do so, going so far as to insult others to do it. There's Apple Apologists, and then there's angry aggressive Apple Apologists.
Doesn't matter. I'm certainly not apologizing for anyone. I simply am right.
But my recommendation to you or anyone, is that you buy the mouse (or anything else) you like.

We don't. We just have a national crisis about it. Probably less bullying than previously. My kids are some of the most introverted nerdy kids in school - they have not even seen bullying and they would be targets. I apologize to the inevitable poster whose kid was killed in a tragic bully accident.
Freshman year of college, some frat dudebro tried to make fun of me for wearing a "sudo hack it" hackathon shirt. Haha.

Apple has lost it's way. Their ads used to be inspired and inspiring. They didn't tout features of the products, but sold you on the company, what they believe in, and what they stand for. Now their ads are just like everyone else.
Like how Microsoft's entire selling platform for Windows 7 was the Snap feature. And at least the Snap feature is actually useful.

Reminds me of the old Sony Bravia 'balls' ad, no bad thing.

EDIT: of course someone already mentioned it, I should read the whole thread.

Messages is a bit of a cluttered mess. It's like they waited years watching everyone else expand their chat clients and then all in one release with iOS 10 said "alright, let's throw EVERYTHING at it." As much as I hate Facebook, the Messenger app by Facebook is so much better than Apple's mess in my opinion. It's clean, simple yet you can still do the extras (stickers, gifs etc.). Once you've used both for a while it's hard to go back to Messages by Apple.

I couldn't agree more. They have literally thrown the kitchen sink at the app! I like most of the features added with the exception of some of the full screen effects which I personally feel a bit cheap. My main issue is that I feel they could of added all these features in a better way than how they were added. It all feels very cramped at the bottom of the screen when they could of potentially added drawers that you slide in from the side. I hope they refine this experience in iOS 11.

For you I hope they soon put the lightning port across your iPhone's back - to keep it's underside aesthetically intact

Hey! That's Chicago! :D

Amazing ad, in my opinion.
Except that it was beautifully stolen from Coca Cola...

A little, to use it on stage is ok. But using it in every ad for every small feature, describing it as "magical" is too much.
Technically, they aren't describing it as magical. They're flashing a tagline on the screen: "practically magic". Since it is a tagline, expect to see it in every ad for a while. Those exact words, without the "al" ending on the word "magic".

It's the new "Think Different".

Remember that Apple has the Magic Mouse, the Magic Trackpad, and the Magic Keyboard.

Other companies have the Magic Eraser and Magic Mountain.

Why does the ad say "iPhone 7" when it's part of iOS 10? Or is it just limited to the iPhone 7?

Came in here to post this exact thought myself. After watching this new Apple ad I immediately thought of Soy's Bravia colourful balls advert from about nearly a decade ago.

Come on Apple you are better than this. Sure everything influences everything else but for Apple does advertising so well so why copy the theme from another tech firm.

My first thought was Sony as well. The follow up to the balls ad was also beautiful and quite the production,

I use messaging mostly for business. How do I turn all of that stuff off?

I don't think you can but if anyone knows a way to turn all the new stuff off I would be interested to know how.

Ehhh.. Sony impudently plagiarized Apple's clever scenery animation, but published it first...
