When I was a little boy in grade school, the teacher would show "The Red Balloon" sometime during the year on a 'class movie day'.
You'd think they would show that movie more often today, with all the bullying issues we have in schools now.

It would have been great if the port was front or back part of the mouse...not under...lol.
I love it when people say this (so brilliant). Like "Gee, how come Apple never thought of that?"
Port on front (ugly) and means it's now a "corded" mouse.
Port on the back (ugly) and what the heck for?? can't use mouse.
Get the port out of the way; Plug in the charger one night to charge for a couple of months worth of power. Boom; You done.
Some people can't see the obvious. (I generally call them Android users; but that's just me)

I find it kinda sad that they're focusing on a little feature that's just for fun and definitely gets old quickly. Does anyone actually use these effects? I tried it once, and it was fun, then never again. And really, "on iPhone 7"? It's not a hardware feature. This is the kind of thing Android "fanboys" make fun of Apple for.

The only reason I updated is because iOS 10 seems faster than iOS 9, and I needed to update for work. The GUI looks nicer in some places. Overall happy with the update as a whole. Well, they made the Music app worse, as usual.
I spam my teenage kids with these and the gifs constantly. Seriously all day long. I am the annoying out of date silly Dad no matter what I do - so I earn it!

They are all fun and harmless.

We don't. We just have a national crisis about it. Probably less bullying than previously. My kids are some of the most introverted nerdy kids in school - they have not even seen bullying and they would be targets. I apologize to the inevitable poster whose kid was killed in a tragic bully accident.

Is having a port under the mouse okay?
Edit: battery replace is great actually.

Apple's bubble close to bursting? I guess that explains the management shares sell-off.

Are you kidding?? Someone will complain just because their eyes saw the ad at all.
They'll complain just because...
Yes. The j/k should have told you I was "just kidding"!

Management sell-off left a lot of money on the table. AAPL is currently trading higher than it was when they sold. They lost MILLIONS by selling when they did.

It's not brilliant in my opinion. Not quite getting what is 'practically magic' about a preset effect playing when a certain message is sent, but there you go. The 'hey, hi, hello' video from WWDC (not sure if it was an ad or not) certainly showed off Messages a lot better and was a lot more fun and engaging.

Oh well, can't win them all.

after credits: camera zooms out revealing the amazing, new 5k display of the even more amazing unapologetically new MacBook Pro that was used to render those balloons in just seconds counted by the hands of Mickey in a magical, ceramic Apple Watch Edition 2.

And, if I keep forgetting to charge it for several days at the exact moment I leave the office, just to get a mouse unresponsive at the beginning of another day, am I supposed to just give myself one day off?

Apple has lost it's way. Their ads used to be inspired and inspiring. They didn't tout features of the products, but sold you on the company, what they believe in, and what they stand for. Now their ads are just like everyone else.

From my perspective (and I guess Apple designers too), that's exactly where I want it.
I don't want it on the top or sides where it can get all gunky. I certainly don't want a stupid little trap door on it.
It's a rechargeable mouse. I don't understand people's problem. If it had a dock; and the mouse connected to the dock via a connector on the bottom of the mouse, people would be fine. For some reason; because you plug a cord into the bottom, once in a blue moon to charge it instead, people feel baffled. I want the connector to be as out-of-the-way as possible (and it is).
As for rechargeable replaceable batteries. I have them, I hate them (better than regular batteries), I use them. But that is definitely not "Apple's way". Hasn't been for a very, very, long time.

Symbolism over substance. It amazes me that people will settle for insignificant fluff. Perhaps Apple could invest in quality control again so the iPhone would just work, not buzz, disconnect from LTE unexpectedly, BT issues, finishing problems and such. .....Oh look new messaging eye candy...... What was I talking about?

Nice homage to "The Red Balloon" an absolute classic french film from 1956. If you enjoyed this you have to see the original it really is magical!
I remember seeing that when I was a kid. This ad immediately reminded me of that movie. Apple's recent commercials have been really great... this one is already one of my faves.

Every single rechargeable Logitech mouse released in the last 15 years has had the recharging port placed on the front of the mouse. Every review I've ever read where that fact was mentioned was done so positively, as in "hey I can still use the mouse normally even while it is charging." Every review for the updated Magic Mouse that mentioned the placement of the Lightning port did so negatively, as in "why the hell didn't they just put it on the front so it would be still be usable while charging?" Not a single one I read, and I tend to read a lot because I'm weird in that regard, spoke positively of the matter. In fact, you're the first I've ever seen do so, going so far as to insult others to do it. There's Apple Apologists, and then there's angry aggressive Apple Apologists.
