Based on the comments and complaints I assume most people aren't familiar with the average price and battery life for this type of product is.
The problem is no one takes the time to figure out stuff on their own and just blurt the first thing that comes to mind to bash.

This page - http://www.apple.com/airpods/ - has answered just about every question anyone has had so far. I'm actually more curious about frequency response.

...or just get a new 32GB 6S at $549 and listen to music for the duration of the phone's battery life. That's 40 hours compared to a measly 5.

I don't think it matters much, from the way it appears looking through the forums, you've got people everywhere saying "I'm not buying an iPhone 7 because it doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack, it's too different" then another post shows they bought one and think it's great and they don't miss the headphone jack at all. I think the same is the case with the AirPods. People are going to say "these things suck" then go buy a pair anyway. TBH for all of those people who complain that they can't listen to music all day, you're probably not doing your phone any good by not giving the battery exercise, Apple just saved you from yourself. Not to mention with the Airpods that you can pull one out for 30 minutes after 2 hours and 30 minutes of listening to charge them up so it's not like you went without music. Stereo music, yes.

I hope they won't be in low supply or have to be preordered. I'm holding out on buying an iPhone 7+ so I can get these at the same time.
