I think this is too big for just a normal announcement. Even if they are announcing new iPhone, TV, laptops and iPad, I have a feeling something else that nobody is expecting will come up.

With all the decorations, and a myriad of rumors flying around, seemingly more than normal, I think Apple is covering up something big. Classic misdirection. We shall see.
Isn't the general thinking that Apple uses a bigger auditorium because it expects more people? But to get more people it either has to invite more people or get a higher percentage of those invited to actually show up. So, have we heard of more people (from the usual tech journalism crowd) saying that this time they will go? Not that I am aware of. Have we heard of other people than the usual tech journalists being invited (like we had with the watch announcement(s))? Again, not that I am aware of?

Thus, how is Apple going to fill that room?

I was walking past there today and I saw the Apple hired goons roughing up a homeless person. The funniest thing was when a cop arrived and he basically ignored the homeless guy (who was most likely mentally ill) and just seemed to be telling off the hired goons (going by the finger jabbing).

Stay classy Apple!

PS: Yes it did happen, if I had my phone I would have taken a video to counter the inevitable deniers.

Yes, because even the janitors at Apple represent the company.

Apple is heavy on symbolism and history... Given the venue was used for some famous concerts and is named after one of the great late impresarios, there has to be a heavy music related aspect to this ... Maybe a nexus of Siri and Apple Music.

Get ready for 1 instead of 2GB. What new feature actually requires the extra 1GB? Yes, the phone will run faster. I could say the same for the current 6.

I'm getting a large greasy bucket of chicken ready for the cries of millions of fan boys.
Sorry, but i'm not understanding what your point is. 2gb of ram for iPhone 6s? That's good, but i just got 6 last year so I won't be getting it. Are you calling me, "fan boy?" If so, I'm not. I'm actually expecting a new desktop mac pro. I know it may come next year...but still. I haven't been "wow-ed" since what...iphone 6 and iPad air 2. You don't need a greasy bucket of chicken. Go eat healthy food.

In news of similar importance, Jony Ive bought two new shirts today at a local Sak's Fifth Avenue. Rumors are circulating that Jony may pop the collar. Tim Cook manscaped his pubes in the second bathroom of a Four Seasons suite, and Eddy Cue made an impromptu decision to try a new deodorant while roaming the aisles of his local Walgreen's.

In what universe is the background of this BLUE?

Every year people always expect something incredible from Apple. "It's coming this year, the :apple:BRAIN will let you upload your brain to the cloud!" I remember this type of hype happened with the iPhone 6 last year and the 5s or 5 before that -- people always like to play the 'best case scenario' when it comes to Apple's announcements.

That's why I'm just going to assume the only device we're going to see is the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. Apple TVs, new iPads and so on will all be bonuses to me. I know for the most part MR members have a realistic sense of what's to come but at the end of the day I'm just forcing myself to believe that any new updates will be evolutionary instead of revolutionary; for the sake of not being disappointed.

This reasoning is why I'm not expecting Taylor Swift, new iPads or anything else other than new iPhones and an otherwise boring update to the Apple TV.

I hope for the sake of those emotionally connected to Apple that there's something of significance to see. They buy into the hype hook line and sinker. The tension filled, anticipatory posts that reveal how much a single Apple event means to them is unlike anything seen anywhere else. These are highly invested worshippers.

"Stay classy"? They use slave-like labor to put together their "made by Apple" products = too late to "stay classy".

:apple: Car revealing in the making

Who hasn't received its invitation???

They should buy the old BMW (that once was owned by Steve Jobs) that the guy in the Bay Area is selling. Then they can reveal that car alongside with the new SIRI-car, and call it an "evolution"
