Nice and on brand. It's the Apple we keep trying to convince ourselves isn't the real Apple. This is them now. An endless stream of "updated" hardware, rising prices and half assed software updates.

And this is why Apple keeps getting less and less of my money. I now go out of my way to not upgrade as often and cancel any unneeded services. I can afford more than I’ve ever been able to, but I won’t support garbage software and an increasingly user-hostile support experience, even with the likes of AppleCare.

Exactly it's something to benefit some customers, so they can't have that. But can sure as heck pump out price increases

No kidding. They sure can't fix easy issues or even give us reasons why they occur. I haven't been able to iMessage myself on my iPhone in over a year, always goes through as SMS. My Apple Card? Has a pending authorizations from over two ****ing years ago that neither Apple or GS will even begin to help me with. You read that right, two years. Apple Books on Mac OS still crashes with image heavy books sold on their own store and I reported that one 4 years ago.

It's a joke and the longer I stick with it all the stupider I feel.

I've already fled. My wife has Apple products yet but all we have for paid services is iCloud anymore. Wish they could just get Android OS updates consistent now.

Of ****ing course. The one feature worth being excited about and least likely to be screwed up at launch
I find your lack of faith in Apple's (and Goldman Sach's) ability to screw things up disappointing...

:p

Over promise, under deliver? Or never deliver? Have you not been paying attention, that's Apple these days. Updated to 16.1 yet? Go ahead, try to share your photo library see what happens lol. HomeKit? Still worthless. I can go on and on
LOL. I've never had interest in sharing my photo library so I won't go there....

I fully admit it's probably because I'm getting older that I just don't care anymore about it all. I want it to just work not just work asterisk.

Oh and in case anyone thought I was exaggerating...two years(edit: sorry 3 years, been with me so long I have lost track of time) in December. Every single month I have to stare at my balance being off by a dollar...

There comes a time in every Apple customer’s life where they don’t buy any more Apple products. So, it behooves Apple to continuously look for and find new customers. Customers which, in the future, will also get to the point where THEY won’t be buying any more Apple products. Ad infinitum.

I'm hearing that it's because the APY was actually higher than what they were offering Marcus and someone balked at last second. Smart move all things considered.
