His hardware designs are exceptional, but I'm not convinced on his OS changes. Two things I wish Apple would change or reverse. First, give us some ports back, upgradeable drives and upgradeable ram etc. Second, stop changing icons and UI features so often, it's annoying.

I used to find Apple's OS's and applications super simple, but lately they keep changing things, like it's an experiment, and I'm finding things more difficult to use.

Not sure what caused the sudden change, but I am hoping for some stricter control over iOS. I don't think things have been as bad as people on here make it out to be (hey, you're still buying), but there could be improvements for sure. Even for such a large company, I think they took on a lot in 2017. I wouldn't mind a year of refining and optimizing iOS.

I puked here

I puked when I logged in with root without a password.
I also puked when I had to redo my APFS partitions because the password was shown in the password hint.
I also puked when my iPhone kept crashing on December 2nd.
A [?] also puked when my iPhone kept autocorrecting it to I.T.

I puked when all my data got erased after logging on to the guest account. (Snow Leopard)

Way too much puking going on. This is disgusting.

No way. I usually see the more negative side of things with Apple (maybe life too), and I think this is a great thing. Having a design mind closer to the process of design will be great.

I know many others don't appreciate his direction over the years with the iPhone and other design concepts with hardware, but he truly is a genius with his visionary status with attention to detail and how he implements hardware having a modern appeal.

Lol. All of those have NOTHING to do with design - they are terrible software flaws but have nothing to do with the visionary design of iOS 7 onwards.

Think he was part of iPhone 5c? That was a truly under-appreciated device. I hated it with the envy I had for the 5s (having my first iphone ever at that time), but looking back after finally getting a 5s, I really appreciated that smooth ceramic look and feel....

And the colors were cool too, thought I would have loved white faces on the white one. (I had blue. very cool)

Nostalgia and pink-coloured lenses when looking at the past.

Nostalgia this is not. I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 6 and I can honestly tell you with the exception of today's additional features which are a given when compared to a five year old OS, it is a far more fluid, polished, snappy and enjoyable experience. And this is comparing it to the latest iPhone. It doesn't have micro stutters or lag everywhere and it doesn't have a poorly implemented, ameteur-level UI. Everyone has just forgotten how good it really was back then because we've become accustomed to the s**t show sloppyness that we have today.

Can someone Please update the look of the iMac please. The Bezel is just huge. They look so dated.

I'm wanting to replace my Early 2011 15" MacBook Pro. I need more than the 16 GB ram in the current MacBook Pro are limited to, since I had 16GB in 2011.

I have Two Dell 24" monitors hooked up to my Surface Pro 4 and they look great with their small bezel. The ThunderBolt display I have for my MacBook Pro even look better than the iMac. With everything going with edge to edge displays or very minimal bezel, the iMac look old.

Oh please, Jony! You are getting old too. Design us a new "oPhone" for us oLDsters. We need something that won't slip from our wrinkly old hands. How'bout something like this, Jony?

I appreciate your attempt to remind some of how good iOS 6 was but it really isn't productive. iOS 6 was the last overall great version iMO, but those days aren't coming back. While iOS 11 isn't anywhere near as bad as iOS 7 was, it is still not all that great but what Apple customers expect from Apple is significantly lower than what used to be as well.

And frankly, if people who feel like you do continue to buy Apple products what real incentive do they have to do anything different?

"I can't believe you can login to a Mac without a password!"
"pff, people asking for perfection from software, smh"

Software bugs will always happen. You should probably get used to it. What's important is that the people who release the software react quickly and fix the issue, which they did in about a day or so. Move on.

I'm convinced as of late that this "design" stuff is just a way to save cost of manufacture. Conditioning customers to think smaller is better means they think "less parts inside is better." What customer wouldn't actually prefer a MacBook was a little thicker and that space inside was used for a bigger battery and more ports on the sides.. But that bigger battery and those ports cost Apple money, So they remove them and call it "design"

This is a lot like "lite beer" The beer company executive who thought of this was a total genius. He figured out that customers will actually buy beer with water added if you call it "lite". Then I notice the Apple juice companies started making "lite" products too where they add water to reduce the calories. People buy it for the same price as the real thing.

I'm thinking that Apple's thin computers are really just "Lite Computes" where that take out battery size, removable RAM, the hard drive and ports and people will still buy them. Mr. Ive is a total genius but credit goes to the beer company executive for thinking of the idea first.
