If Apple is going to add Toich ID in addition to Face ID. now is the time Hopefully they won’t wait till the pandemics over

I just have very dry skin ... it took them 20 min to get my fingerprints when I got my pre-TSA, so for me, and others too, TouchID is not welcomed back.
I have the same issue after long-haul flights.

Before 9/11, they used to use a biometric system that read your electrical impulses.

The only problem I have with adding TouchID is added cost, and you and I and everyone else will have to pay for that...

If and when TouchID makes its *cough* triumphant *cough* return. I honestly doubt it will add much, if anything to the cost of the iPhone.

Apple have been trimming as much fat as possible recently with their pack-ins. Removing chargers, EarPods and reducing packaging.

Sure, they say it’s for environmental purposes and I’m sure to a degree that is true. But I’ve always thought that the removal of those items is for two other purposes as well. 1. Increase profit margins (naturally). 2. Allow for the incorporation of new hardware and technologies, without the need to increase the (already high) cost of the premium products.

But time will tell I suppose.

Wel yeah prices will likely stay the same or if it goes up not enough to make a big difference

Touch id is my buy or not buy feature, if it has it, I will purchase the next iphone, if not, i will wait
I have been using the iPhone X since it came out with passcode, patiently waiting for touch id comeback.

This has been my Apple war cry for many years now, and the precise reason I am using an iPhone SE2 today.

The lack of TouchID in the power button of the new extremely priced M1 iPad Pro is a real let down. I hope Apple regrets that.
